Most people are not claiming he hacked the voting machines. If that's what you meant in your title, you should have stated as much, because most of the headlines regarding 'hacking' in the media lately have nothing to do with that.

Even if he did hack the voting machines (I don't think he did), he might think it beneficial to produce a result that was believable and was within normal range of polling errors. If the result was completely outside of the expected range, there would be more investigation.

The emails seemed like what I would expect to be going on in a campaign. People involved with campaigns confirmed this. The CIA or FBI (I forget which) says that the RNC was hacked too, but the emails were not released. There's no proof of what was in there, but there's proof that one side was selectively broken into and the dirty laundry loot was strategically released for the largest impact on the election. That much is very clear.
