It's all about a stable platform to shoot from, and a smooth trigger pull. That's the only Gun Control I know.

2 shots at 100 yards using a Tikka T3x chambered in 308 shooting 150 grain Fusion Match Ammo.

He doesn't, he's afraid of those scary "assault weapons of war".

Well the fact that he isn't talking about his gear and setup, or even the caliber he's shooting with, pretty much tells me that there might be some fibbing going on here.

Exactly.... sending a big wad of birdshot down range to break a clay pigeon is simple in comparison.

I've done rounds where I hit 24 out of 25 or 25 out of 25 without breaking a sweat. I've also seen 10 year olds easily score 20 out of 25 hits.

The amount of people I know personally who can hit an 8 inch steel plate consistently at 1000 yards with a 308 bullet... maybe 1-2 individuals? Myself not included. It's an extremely difficult shot, and given the trajectory characteristics of the 308 round, takes some luck. I've done it before, 2 out of 10 shots.

What’s the fib?

Why on Earth would I lie about it?

Gear i was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie. Setup was three different 12 gauge shotguns, a large box of clays, a launcher and a case of shells. Somebody forgot to get any 16 gauge shells so my Ithaca stayed cold. Is it fair to assume that you project that others are fibbing, because you assume that others are dishonest, because you your self are less than honest?

I have nothing to gain by coming on Patnet and telling lies

You said long distance shooting was too easy for you. What was your setup for long range shooting? What distances were you hitting? Got any screen grabs of your targets?

I have not...

There you go lying again. I said i prefer a moving target to a stationary one. Why is it so hard for you to be honest?

Do you feel that falsely accusing others of lying is civil?
25   Goran_K   2017 Nov 28, 8:57am

Dude, you said:

errc says
Apparently hitting a stationary target is hard for some while I guess it comes naturally to many others.

So that's why I'm asking you about your experience with long range target shooting. What was your setup for long range shooting? What distances were you hitting? Got any screen grabs of your targets? If what you said was untrue (a lie), then just admit it. I won't think any less of you for admitting it.
26   anonymous   2017 Nov 28, 8:59am

Point out where you are accusing me of lying

I don't think you've ever shot long range targets with any consistency and are just BS'ing.

Cut it out with the personal insults.

So you call me a liar, that’s not a personal attack, and not uncivil, even though I’ve never lied on Patnet

I return in kind and correctly label you a liar, and my comment gets put in uncivil jail.

@Patrick you can’t make this shit up.

Apparently hitting a stationary target is hard for some while I guess it comes naturally to many others. I prefer the challenge of a moving target

Clays. A small pile of shotguns, a case of clays and shells beside the launcher

Not much anymore. There’s no challenge

What’s the fib?

Why on Earth would I lie about it?

So because you are a serial liar, you assume others regularly lie as well? Pathetic

So you call me a liar, that’s not a personal attack, and not uncivil, even though I’ve never lied on Patnet

There’s my comments in the thread. No lies

Why do you guys feel the need to lie so frequently?

I didn't call you a "serial liar", and say you "regularly lie", but I said "if what you said is untrue", just admit it. I still highly doubt that you have ever engaged in long range shooting and are simply in here to troll.

Seeing as we are a dozen posts in, and you still have yet to explain your long range setup, I'm guessing I'm correct. Of course you could prove me wrong. What was your setup for long range shooting? What distances were you hitting? Got any screen grabs of your targets?

At random, when the trigger finger starts to move there could a blast of mortar, artillery, missile explosions.
A loud high pitched shrill could be added for variety.

Have you been to a range before? There are literally dozens of loud noises going off mere feet from you as you shoot.

You suggested i was fibbing which is the same as calling me a liar.

You keep asking me the same questions I’ve already answered.

What do you shoot? What's your setup?

Clays. A small pile of shotguns, a case of clays and shells beside the launcher.

How many more times are you going to keep asking me the same question that I’ve already answered?

Maybe you have a reading comprehension problem, or maybe you’re so dishonest that you are misrepresenting what I’m saying, hard to tell at this point.

Go back and read all my comments and replies and then get someone to help you translate English to whichever language you speak. I’m not sure how I can be any clearer or honest here.

Why do you feel the need to lie and misrepresent what I’m saying here
35   Goran_K   2017 Nov 28, 11:09am

Okay, so you have never done serious target shooting, don't have a long range setup, and don't know if it's easy or not? Cool. Thanks for confirming.

wtf--he said he prefers hitting moving targets. Why would he have a setup for a stationary target??
40   anonymous   2017 Nov 28, 1:06pm

NRA says having more guns lying around will reduce the number of people using them to shoot other people.

So is the best way to avoid nuclear war is for more countries to have nuclear weapons?

Doesn't more guns correlate to more gun violence? America sure has a lot of guns and a lot of shootings.

Every day? Wow!

Definitions matter, this article says they are getting more deadly.

Who said his setup can't be long-range and moving AT THE SAME TIME?

I think most people already know he doesn't or never did have a long range setup. So him saying "it's easy" is an inexperienced opinion.
43   Goran_K   2017 Nov 28, 3:39pm

Exactly. It's like if someone came onto patNet and said "I did a 1 minute 15 second" lap at Laguna Seca in a Porsche 911."

Then some guy, let's call him "Errrg" comes along and says, "Apparently running a sub 1.5 minute lap at Laguna Seca is hard for some while I guess it comes naturally to others."

You would then naturally think, "Wow this guy must know how to drive, because that's a pretty good time for even pro drivers, and he must have done this many times."

But if their response is, "Well, I've been to the Go Kart track once or twice and beat a few kids in some races", you would then question that person's authenticity.
