I have a couple of friends, husband and wife, parents of my orchestra leader friend, in their early to mid-60's, and ever since 11/9/16, you'd have thought they'd lost every member of their family in a mass shooting or natural catastrophe from the way they obsess about Trump, but they have a good life and I can't for the life of me think how it would have made any difference to them if Hillary had been elected. Their son and daughter-in-law cut off friendship with a friend of ten years because he voted for Trump and belongs to the NRA. He said he knew they saw him at an event but completely ignored him, wouldn't speak to him. I can't understand something like that.

Here’s one simple reason: virtually every progressive policy victory of the last fifty years has been handed down by a SCOTUS VERDICT instead of being voted into a law by congress and signed by a President. The fact is that progressive policies aren’t popular enough to get through our rather arcane system that requires at least some bipartisan support for a bill to make it into law.
But if they get enough progressive judges willing to legislate from the bench on everything from abortion to gay marriage, the Leftist scum can get their agenda passed by fiat!

They can only seat these scumbag justices when they hold the Oval Office. Trump has a proven record now of nominating good Constitutional judges. He’s done two now, and there’s potential for another 3, possibly four within the next four years. If Trump retains the Presidency, a clear conservative/Constitutional standard will prevail on all future verdicts for the next generation. Other past decisions may be reversed if they’re based on faulty progressive logic.
The Leftists know their ship is sunk if they can’t get rid of Trump, so they’re pulling out all the stops.

I've seen and heard about this too. A coworker has a portion of his extended family that won't be around him because he voted for trump.

This is proof of how powerful the media indoctrination can be if you allow yourself to just watch one side and live in an echo chamber. These people truly believe that Trump is a raging white supremacist, and that his supporters voted for him because of their "seething hatred, racism, and white supremacy" because the TV person told them so. This makes them feel morally obligated to cut ties over it.

That describes me pretty well. Outside of my wife and immediate family, nobody knows I’m a Trump supporter. And I won’t be sharing that. My wife has also requested that I refrain from making any social media posts that are political. She works at a college with probably 90% Lefties, all looking for the next witch to burn. So I am an undercover Trump supporter.
There are little to no protections for political speech, and the SJWs have been exploiting that fact. Then they wonder why their polls no longer work correctly.
