It's still downloadable. At first those "HIV" inserts seem dubious. (Page-4, translated RNA-> protein sequence of SARS vs. coronavirus)

The authors focused on those inserts. All of the blue are also variation. It looks natural to me but don't take my word for it, read the comments from the other scientists who are laughing the paper out of publication.

I talked to a dad on the baseball team I coach last night, he said they are running out of inventory (auto parts) and their chinese factory has been shut down for two weeks.

My company can't ship any hardware this month because our modems are built in China. We will probably miss our Q1 forecast due to this delay.

We are definitely re-thinking our supply chain plans.

We already have Typhus, Hepatitis, and Leprosy.

Just jumped from 45k cases to 60k.

The Chinamen owned up to the testing problem, but they simply labeled all pneumonias dxed via CT as CV cases to come closer to the real number of infections. Still this thing is overblown like nothing else. The majority of cases are so mild that we may indeed have more than we think and still the infection rates outside of Wuhan have been declining. While the supply chain problems are real, this is still a nothing-burger compared to the yearly influenza. I also suspect these "news" are used by short-sellers who have been desperately trying to bring the market down while getting their asses handed on a daily basis if you except the first few CV panic days. And that - while I do acknowledge there is quite some fluff in select stocks in this market - I don't support.

Looks like situation is out of control in Italy, Iran, South Korea and Japan.
Virus 1 - Humanity 0.

It also looks like the economic damage will go increasing. Airlines will be grounded in places. Factory and school closed. People quarantined at home.

Stock market is definitely ill with Corona virus.

This could be good in the long term, as people see the advantages of strong borders and local production.

Traffic at the port has slowed to a crawl. Factories remain shuttered in China. Companies over here are running out of inventory.
This could be a black swan event.

Should show that manufacturing some basic stuff should be a matter of national security. We should be making all of our own components, tools, and machinery.

Given this is the case, there may be millions infected, like, soon.
I'll venture a prediction: there will be cases popping up like this in the Bay Area within 2 weeks.

There were one or more patient zeros in Italy who traveled to China and likely brought it back. Parts of Italy are full of Chinese. They need to aggressively contain it now and it looks like that's what they're doing. The US has the big advantage of controlling all the ports of entry. I don't think it will spread here.
