Wow - 4000 cases??

Let's see, Florida has a population of 21,992,985

Combine that with more testing. I guess people don't critically think anymore and realize that more testing is going to result in more cases. Who would have thought? The assumption these are "new" cases is also laughable. They could have had it for weeks. The numbers are dwindling and morons are somehow, with a virus, somehow making this political and about an individual. Stupidity has no bounds I guess.

Here's the link. You can click on any state.

I'm not sure what else to say. You're hung up on cases when the deaths are plummeting. I asked for a link showing deaths are increasing and you of course post a link to "new" cases. Half these "new" cases could be a week plus old, even with testing delays and reporting. This is math. Sure there is science in a vaccine, but this is really simple math. The virus is going away regardless of the new cases because of more testing. This will not bring down the person you hate the most, I'm sorry.

No I just said there were 8,000 deaths in a week and that is a big upswing. WTF

In this thread you did not do that. You posted a link about cases. Cases don't matter, which is the image you posted and linked. Show me this link to an uptick in deaths. Not buying it.

A vaccine isn’t going to happen prevent this disease/virus from spreading. There are multiple strains just left like the flu, you can’t stop this thing by vaccinating. Slow it down a bit, sure, but stopping your life until a vaccine is found is fucking absurd.

I don't even believe the statistic. 4000 is an awfully round number. I was suspicious about this pandemic before, but I flat out don't trust it now.

I'm sure there is a virus, but I could even be wrong about that. What's I'm really positive about is that this lockdown had to do with something other than a virus. I can't believe the government suddenly was concerned about the safety and welfare of citizens. I mean heck, they are actively encouraging rioting and looting, and they are the ones that setup the conditions to have this sort of police force.

If it was just the US, I'd be on board with this line of thought. No one is wrong to question it for sure, we all should question everything. I'm at 3-4 friends of friends/family/co-workers that have supposedly died from it. Most were in bad shape and/or completely unhealthy at a young age. It was like the quarter on those one gaming machines hanging off the edge. Just got that extra bump and boom, dead.

I have zero faith in the death statistics which is all that matters. That's where I think the lying is coming from here in the US. There's zero reason we should have exponentially more deaths than China with 25% of their population, better health care and less density. It doesn't add up.

I guess when you're used to Fox News and Brietbart, seeing the way a real source of news works can be difficult to deal with ? One says "even" the other says "despite."

It's as if you think that what the WHO says is NPRs opinion ?

Just an observation, the protest photo shows people wearing masks. I wonder whether the photos coming out of Trump rallies will show most of the people wearing masks. I am curious about that, becasue the choice will be largely the decision of Trump and his campaign. They can encourage masks and even provide them for those that don't have their own, or not.

I will be very curious to see which one they choose.

Black police officers also mistreated their brothers

Were they racist?
111774   WookieMan   2020 Jun 10, 7:12am

Question. Have white people been mistreated by police? If the answer is yes, I'm not certain where you're going with this. A small fraction of police are bad and mess with everyone. This isn't exclusive to blacks.

We have specific data on crimes. For some reason, at some point (I wonder why) they decided to track it by race. Police don't make you commit more crimes. They react to calls first and then once they have that information they may police an area more. It's then up to those citizens to just not commit a crime so that police interaction isn't necessary.

Chicago just had its most violent weekend in decades. During a stay at home order, where the vast majority of businesses aren't even open. Do you not understand why there is more police presence and patrolling in these areas of high crime? They can't even listen to a simple request to sit on their asses at home. If left on their own, there'd literally be hundreds dead every weekend. These are places that are more dangerous than fucking Syria. That's the current state of affairs in many cities.

So please, let us know what you're talking about.

True. And they're also more likely to die at the hands/gun of a black person as well. It's a two way street. Motivation to police out of control people is low, and technically smart if you enjoy living.

If black people simply stopped killing each other at alarming rates, all these issues would go away. And if there is still a policing problem after that, get the unions out of the way and allow municipalities and cities to fire shit head cops. It's not racist to acknowledge that one race, statistically speaking is killing their own and causing a bunch of other people harm.

Interested to see where Tim takes this. Blacks bitching about police harassing them because they likely did something wrong is laughable. Like you said, they'd rather go grab some donuts and coffee and sit in their squad car. But no, they have to respond to calls about people doing dip shit activities.

I luckily don't have to do jury duty due to my families involvement with the legal system, so I'm not fully aware of the process. But if you wanted to stick it to cops, wouldn't you stay mum about your past experiences with police so you could put them behind bars if it was a case involving a cop?

It defies logic to bitch about police at jury duty and get yourself kicked off the case. Defense attorneys would love to have a black person saying they love cops on a police crime allegation. I'm sure it was the public education system that gave them such great logic skills, that they continue to vote for people that love unions that then protect the people that kill them (very rarely mind you).

I swear that people got an ice cream cone in July, in Phoenix and are wondering why it's melting and blaming the ice cream place.

While I was doing jury duty, during the jury selection, the district lawyer asked everyone ( under oath) if we has any misgivings about police. One after another, most of the blacks had harrowing stories about police harassing them. So it is not just about one death, It is also not about black vs white racism as Black police officers also mistreated their brothers. It is about the culture of harassment for black folks at the hands of police.

People would say darnest things in order to GTFO from jury duty, duh.

When selecting a jury, the judge and sometimes the attorneys are allowed to question the jurors. Usually they just write the questions on a board and the prospective jurors are asked to answer them out loud one by one.

Usually just general questions about where you are from, what work you do, etc. in one trial there was a specific question about the jurors opinion of guns. In another it was a question about if you could be impartial about a case involving child sexual abuse. I answered that I could not and was asked to elaborate. In retrospect I should have asked to speak to the judge in private but I spilled my guts about past social work I had done in front of the entire jury pool. The judge was not pleased. I was removed, and harshly admonished out of the sight of the jury pool.

It's impossible to prove the alleged "encounter" has never happened, so it's perfectly safe. Besides, I once saw with my own eyes as several witnesses lied under oath, were immediately exposed for it by hard evidence (phone records) and the judge simply let it go.

That sounds like what I thought it would be. The two times I've been summoned have been recent. Almost any attorney, either defense or prosecution in my area will know of my dad and sister. All the judges would know them. So I've yet to actually even get to the physically showing up portion of jury duty. Part of me is pissed I'm not able to experience it. Especially now with nothing to do.

That is the genesis of ALL of their problems.

Spreading disinformation is always served with a sprinkling of truth. It is so effective, that it is used in spy vs. spy psyops, and even those trained in basilisk skepticism (as opposed to idiotic altruism) can't always tell the difference to sort out what is real from what isn't.

Best not to swallow the sprinkling of truth as bait for the poisoned bolus.
