If you want a defining moment that indicts everyone in the Federal Government, I submit the time that President Trump during his State of the Union Address stated that some special forces operative in Africa did not die in vain. Everyone knew he had been creeping around in Africa, doing a black ops project, and yes his death had no purpose. However, everyone in attendance: that's all of Congress, every member of the Supreme Court, every department and Agency of the Executive Branch stood and applauded. The applause set a record for the length of time of an applause was given for any remark in any State of the Union address in the history of the United States.

Trump stood up and played the perfect meat puppet and everyone went along with it. There was no dissention. Even the Iraq war had a few nay votes, but for this lie...everyone was for it.

Since I developed critical thinking ability I've known that a person "who is driven" to make decisions for others that they will never meet is going to be a narcissist at the very best, and most probably a sociopath.

That's why I'm a theoretical anarchist. I don't believe that we need government to have a culture. I believe quite the opposite - that people formed mutually beneficial relationships at the personal level first. It was only after these successful endeavors reached a critical mass that some type of centralized decision making apparatus attached itself, remora like, to the host.

I do not know this from some deep study of history, but from my personal beliefs in human behavior. Empathy for people beyond your immediate interaction is contrived.

The irony is that most if not all of these freedom/working class type musicians have been had by the establishment via TDS and also maybe pressure (threatening on cancellation) and bribery. They should have all been on Trump's side but sided with the establishment against the common working people they used to represent.

People need organization more than they need almost anything else. At small scale this looks like tribalism with a chief. Larger scale it’s nationalism with a king or perhaps an elected leader. The very worst sort of situation for any group of humans is anarchy, because that means the people
1)don’t know what they should be doing
2)can’t trust each other to not kill or hurt them or steal the products or their labors
3)can’t be very productive because they have to be constantly on guard against other humans.

This is an intolerable situation and people will accept ANY government in lieu of anarchy. Even stompy totalitarian police state communism is better, if only marginally.
