Well in the case of a Mixolydian mode in A scale if you flat the G, it would become natural. Then at that point you're playing a damn D scale, but you still notate it as an A scale, and you have to put the natural notation next to every G note. I think modes were invented for people who don't quite understand how to meld one scale into another. So they make up patterns and modes so they can sound like everyone else.

I'm glad I have a job that when I fuck up, I have plenty of opportunity to fix it before it's even discovered I fucked up. Just takes more time.
