Just feels like our culture on it's last leg. Kids are being trannied and gayed in schools. Half the fucking America, at least half, is all into gaying the kids in the name of inclusivity. They are nuts, they are hurting the kids. And now even some churches starting to accept gay. If I remember history, that's the sign of the end.

Ironically Muslims showed a lot more backbone than Christians when it comes to protecting their faith.

If Joe Stalin was my dad, I'd most definitely dishonor him.

If Joe was my dad I’d probably be dead. He would not like what I had to say to him.

Ok, so let's roll back the clock a few more centuries. Genghis Khan raped 1000s of women around the globe. If you were of those anointed first generation 1K descendants of the Great Khan, would you honor the world's greatest conqueror or treat him like some psychopathic scourge on the planet?

FYI, many of us today are his nth level descendants.

Well, then it should be on prominent display in my living room but instead, it's housed in a closet, just like the vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, all our appliances are idols.

A lot of people keep their idols in the closet. Garage, bank account, Marina, etc... there are many forms of idolatry.

That's a misdirection & you know it because the term idolatry is about worship, not maintaining one's appliances. If so, then Jack Nicklaus worships his golf clubs. The bricklayer worships cement. The bread maker worships his baking flour or yeast. No, they maintain their tools for their lives' work. I boink and thus, maintain a tool for that purpose. I do not worship, nor did I pick (nor customize) a model which looked like my ex-GF from a decade ago.

I explained the above to American Kukak (or one of his other monikers) to make that piece clear.

Your point is well taken, the command to honor your parents does not imply that a child is bound to serve a parent who is a servant of the devil. But even a parent who is severely flawed yet despite their flaws honors their obligation to their children, is worthy of honor. That just means to be thankful follow their lead as they follow God, and provide for their needs as you are able in their old age.

FortWayneAsNancyPelosiHaircut says

idolatry is about worship

Actually it is more broad than worship. Colossians expounded upon the concept of idolatry.
Colossians 3:5

Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.

And then we have this quote ...

1 Corinthians 10:20-22 ... "Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy?"

So the creator of universe, whose life force exists in all living beings & thus, no one's thoughts, emotions, etc, can even persist without him, falls into a state of jealousy, a base human emotion (& a loser one for that).

That's not the sign of the greatest force of the universe but some inter-dimensional entity which is not distinguishable to any angelic or demonic entity out there.

Which brings back the original question ... are Jack Nicklaus's golf clubs an idol? Should he even play golf, since it's based upon human passion ... one your Colossians 3:5 deadly sins?

Should Jack Nicklaus simply be a street cleaner for his hometown until his death, even though he's capable of playing golf? And what's being a street cleaner other than a servant for his local town hall? Is that really what the (non-denominational: universal force) or God wants for him?

God’s will for every person is that they be converted from a sinner under the curse of sin and death and change into a new creature in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Context

“14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

So unless the Golden Bear has been converted, everything that stands between him and God is an idol. Once he is converted God will let Jack know if he should continue playing golf or make a change.

Sounds more like entity possession to me.

Nothing can exist w/o God (or the Supreme Being or Universal 'whatever' for the lack of a better set of terms).

And thus, if the Golden Bear was to play golf, then that was his destiny regardless of whether or not he joined your denomination. And would he continue to play golf afterwards, heck, it's a job so why not? And if that's his true talent (which most would suspect) then why instead, be a street cleaner or run the charity fund for some denomination when his own charity work makes much more money for the needy w/o them needing to convert to a particular church? And at the same time, it coaches others on how to play golf as a benefit as well.

Swedenborg also believed that he was converted but yet, he was little more than an old school channeler, letting entities tell him what to believe in. A whole church grew out of his delusions.

It’s fucking nuts. My SIL attended a parents meeting for my nephews private Westside school. She had to have my brother come pick her up early. She said she was about to lose her shit and lash out because so many of the parents were taking about how proud they were that their kids were displaying attributes of gender fluidity. Literally wearing it as a badge of pride.

Then a few days later Dennis Prager spoke about parents on the Westside having it as a regular topic of conversation.

It’s a fad amongst very very stupid leftist parents. I have zero doubt at this point that transgenderism is almost entirely driven by emotion.

My dad has a IQ over 150. There was never a possibility that my brother and I were not going to college. Both of us had an easy upbringing and neither physically imposing. Yet we grew up fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, and learning to work on cars. I’m a good man and good husband because of it and so is my brother. My brother, despite having a rich man’s income and lifestyle is introducing both his boys to the same.

God help the kids being raised by the incredibly stupid.

It sounds like that to you because you are a natural man.

1 Corinthians 2:14 Context

“11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”Rin says

I agree, that it was his destiny to play golf. But it is also his destiny to either become a new creature in Christ or remain cursed with sin and death. My denomination has nothing to do with it. Salvation is not exclusive to any church or religious system, salvation is a gift of God given freely to all who will receive it. Romans 6:23 reads, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I'm far more than some 'natural' man. I've encountered the spirit entities and know a lot about them. Unlike Swedenborg, I've rejected 'em but see that many of you, being unconscious spirits, know nothing of them. I have a term for ppl like you ... the inferior souls. The ones who know nothing about 'the Universe' and depend upon verses, texts, some sayings from church fathers, etc, to push you ahead.

I was chosen to do the work for humanity, first by ending feminism (Rin Wah Law) and second, to eliminate the fraud that's Fauci's modern medicine. Yes, him & his clubhouse are 21st century Pharisees.

God is a spirit. But you are correct, there are many other spirits. These entities were created by Him. They have free will, and are able to reject God just like us inferior souls. These entities are able to influence and interact with humans and animals. An interesting but somewhat forgotten history is that of the Nephalim. They were able to interact with the physical world and even create offspring with humans.

A natural man is just someone who does not have the Spirit of God. Have you encountered His Spirit? If you have heard his call I encourage you to answer it. You have contributed much as you have said, but if you die without Christ it will all be unprofitable.God said his Spirit will not always strive with man, there will come a day for every natural man when it is too late to heed the call. The good news is the natural man can become a new creature in Christ, just by accepting the gift of repentance and faith.

I've died and come back, many many times. This isn't the first and won't the last. I've also been at the monastery with St Francis of Assisi, many centuries ago. I still vaguely recall him.

I think that you're just another theologian, like many I've encountered over the years. Do you honestly think that I fear the end? People like you, when these days are over, will enter the tunnel of light, get your third eye/head center burnt out, forget everything, and then, another group of entities will take control of your destiny. This is the scenario which plays out for most.

As far as I'm concerned, this religious/spiritual conversation was over before it even began. And I'm talking about prior to 2012, before I joined PatNet. This is how destiny works.

Yes, God is a spirit, but you said well, He is not just a spirit, but the creator of all. God has three parts, the Father/Creator/eternal soul, the Son/Redeemer in the flesh, the Spirit. So yes, He is a Spirit, and much more as you said.

Incidentally He created man in His own image, everyone has an eternal soul, a body, and while every person born into this world is spiritually dead, every person can be reborn in the Spirit by faith in Jesus.

Gospel of John, chapter 3. Jesus says to Nicodemus in verse 5, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."

Everyone born into this world is carried in a sac of water. But it is the second birth, born again of the Spirit that makes a person truly alive.

Ephesians 2:1 Context

1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,“
Rin says

I've died and come back, many many times.

No, you have not.

Hebrews 9:27 Context

24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

Rin says

Do you honestly think that I fear the end?

I don’t know what you are afraid of. But I do know that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Rin says

I think that you're just another theologian,

I’m not just another anything. I’m a sinner, saved by grace through faith in the Lord Christ Jesus who being blameless was the only person who could pay my sin debt for me. And though I am a sinner, my Savior loved me anyway and willingly laid down His life for me. Which brings us back to where we started. Jesus ate with sinners, and that is because he loves them.

And he's "super pumped" his town had a pride event, and is supporting the "native americans should be angry" propaganda by declaring he lives on Quinnipiac land. He looks young, so maybe that explains why he appears brainwashed with leftism, but still.

Does anyone else think we might be upon the cusp of some wave of change in the church? I fear many closet gays have congregated in churches, either specifically attracted to the church as gays, or they were molested as children by a church member, and it made them gay, or maybe the whole celibacy thing made some turn to the secrecy afforded by forbidden encounters with men. Whatever. But what happens if there's some wave of this currently silent but likely large group, where they start publicly supporting many leftist ideas because they personally identify with them on behalf of their gayness? It could be quite the infiltration, and very demoralizing.

Yeah, I guess I am gaslighting you. Because when a person has a false sense of reality they need a reality check. I have “memories” of previous lives too. However I know they are not things that actually happened to me, maybe it is echos of ancestral experiences, or maybe they are just lucid dreams. I also have deja vu from time to time, I am certain I have been in a particular experience before. But again I know it is not real.

What I am not doing is I am not fighting with you. It is simply a discussion. Perhaps God is striving with your soul as you implied. If so, may He bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you and be merciful and gracious unto you, May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace.

But we can believe you about multiple lives, exorcism and psychic assaults?

Remember gaslighting is only a bad thing if the person doesn’t have a warped view of reality. And besides that using the term “gaslighting” is really just a way to demonize telling the truth to someone who believes a falsehood. Essentially you claimed I called you a liar, ( I did not) and then you responded by calling me a gas lighter which is certainly a disparaging remark. Am I therefore your enemy because I tell you the truth?

I truly believe that if you die without Christ you will regret it for eternity. The greatest gift you can therefore receive is forgiveness. And I would not wish you ill in any wise. That is why I took the time to share my faith with you.

Observation when repeated over and over again can lead to what is known as truth. But we still must believe and accept that the observations are valid, and we should reevaluate our truth if the observations start to point us in a new direction.

My observation is that the word of God is true. And everyone who truly receives these words in their heart, and practices them by faith is forever grateful and forever changed.

The more I observe the world around me and the Word of God, the more convinced I am that the Word of God created this world, and everything He says will happen (either has already, or soon will be fulfilled.) God is multidimensional so in His reality everything He said has actually already happened, we are just waiting to catch up with Him.
