Facemasks in the COVID-19 era: A health hypothesis
Baruch Vainshelboim⁎

Abstract
Many countries across the globe utilized medical and non-medical facemasks as non-pharmaceutical intervention for reducing the transmission and infectivity of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). Although, scientific evidence supporting facemasks’ efficacy is lacking, adverse physiological, psychological and health effects are established. Is has been hypothesized that facemasks have compromised safety and efficacy profile and should be avoided from use. The current article comprehensively summarizes scientific evidences with respect to wearing facemasks in the COVID-19 era, providing prosper information for public health and decisions making. ...

Conclusion
The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19. The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks. Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects. These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety and depression. Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.

We’ll get into the details shortly, but the conclusion gives a fantastic overview of the results:

While no cause-effect conclusions could be inferred from this observational analysis, the lack of negative correlations between mask usage and COVID-19 cases and deaths suggest that the widespread use of masks at a time when an effective intervention was most needed, i.e., during the strong 2020-2021 autumn-winter peak, was not able to reduce COVID-19 transmission. Moreover, the moderate positive correlation between mask usage and deaths in Western Europe also suggests that the universal use of masks may have had harmful unintended consequences.

The paper’s stated most important finding: “... contrary to the accepted thought that fewer people are dying because infection rates are reduced by masks, this was not the case … Results from this study strongly suggest that mask mandates actually caused about 1.5 times the number of deaths or ~50% more deaths compared to no mask mandates.” The study theorized that the so-called “Foegen effect,” whereby hypercondensed droplets caught by masks are re-inhaled and introduced deeper into the respiratory tract, could be responsible for the increased Covid mortality rate.

I am at Bush airport N of Houston. Federal checkpoints have "masks mandatory" signs with officers wearing them. Over 95% of diverse Texans dont and just ignore the signs. Officers dont say anything.
A few older and infirm people are the only ones wearing masks. In contrast, my wife returned recently from Minneapolis and it is infected with maskholes.

I think we are separating more and more into two different countries.

I sure hope so. Tiz the answer to the insanity imo.

It’s hilarious when the mask-obsessed finally realize that there’s no rhyme or reason to mandatory mask rules.

Recalling my recent trip via #pearsonairport in #Toronto. Security made me change masks- paper mask mandated. No others allowed...including N95. 😐and no one could explain the rationale. #covid19

These findings suggest that mask use might pose a yet unknown threat to the user instead of protecting them, making mask mandates a debatable epidemiologic intervention.

I'm not hippy dippy, but we do go to a holistic pediatrician. Still get the normal vaccinations. The doc is a really cool chick. She has to require masks I guess getting into the building. Once in the room though she says take that shit off. Not a joke. In front of my kid. If she was hot my dick would have punctured my shorts.

First time I've worn a mask since flying to Mexico. Was fucking weird. 6 months I think? Travel is the only time I put one on now at this point.

Smoke goes right through masks and the coronavirus is much smaller.

In Mexico City right now and often a majority of people walking down the street are masked. Can't go into any museum without them.

Carbon dioxide rises beyond acceptable safety levels in children under nose and mouth covering: Results of an experimental measurement study in healthy children
Environ Res. 2022 Sep; 212: 113564. 2022 May 28. doi: 10.1016/j.envres.2022.113564

This shocking paper had no coverage by the state-sponsored media, even though it shows that the average CO2 levels in inhaled air with nose and mouth coverings in children between age 6 and 17 is well beyond acceptable levels. ...

In conclusion we have produced experimental data that show that carbon dioxide content in inhaled air rises on average to 13,000 to 13,750 ppm no matter whether children wear a surgical or an FFP2 mask. This is far beyond the level of 2,000 ppm considered the limit of acceptability and beyond the 1,000 ppm that are normal for air in closed rooms. This estimate is rather on the low side, as we only measured this after a short time without physical exertion. Decision makers and law courts should take this into consideration when establishing rules and guidance to fight infections.

They generally didn't enforce it the two times I went, but that was Cancun area. Probably to not hurt tourism. I've never gotten sick in Mexico and I usually forget to use the bottled water when brushing my teeth. Otherwise it's mimosa or beer. I do not trust their water supply though some hotels/resorts have their own filtration. Mexico City is obviously a different trip, but I'm betting you're getting some great authentic Mexican food. I want a taco now...

Tangent aside, masks obviously don't do shit or covid would have ceased to exist and our own medial god Fauci said they didn't work.

More Cities Vote Not to Enforce LA County’s Mask Mandate Proposal

With a decision expected tomorrow on whether Los Angeles County will re-impose an indoor mask mandate due to COVID-19, officials from several cities said they will not enforce such a rule if it is implemented.

If you are wondering about the DOJ case fighting for the CDC to be able to impose mask mandates on flights....well...the science has changed (the political science).

Since the DOJ filed the case on June 1 and hasn't done shit since then, the "emergency" powers kinda lost their importance.

Study finds plastics found in masks present in patients’ lungs

Microplastic fibres were found deep in the lower lungs of living human beings in almost every person sampled in a recent UK study.

The study from Great Britain discovered microplastic particles — present in many COVID-19 masks — in the lung tissue of 11 out of 13 patients undergoing surgery.

Polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) were the most prevalent substances present in the lungs.

The microscopic plastic fragments and fibres were discovered by scientists at Hull York Medical School in the UK. Some of the filaments were two millimetres long in patients undergoing surgery whose lung tissue they sampled.

The plastic dust and microscopic debris comprises the same plastics used to manufacture the ubiquitous surgical masks worn by hundreds of millions of people around the world as mandated by governments in an attempt to halt the spread of COVID-19.

Video has emerged of dirtbag Trudeau and his family getting off a private airforce jet not wearing any masks. The entitlement of Trudeau and his family is un-fuckung-real. Meanwhile, moms in Canada are thrown off planes because their kid won't mask up.

I think it's pretty obvious that masks don't work, and it's been obvious for a long time.

I almost think we've REALLY been put through an obedience test, but there's a plus to this, I think people are less willing to be obedient the next time around. I believe many people are realizing they were bamboozled.

Where's the paper?

Go find the paper, and do a text search for "mask".

We now know that masks do contribute to disease for the wearer now, but there was no conclusion drawn that I can find where that was the conclusion of the 1917 flu epidemic. It's true that bacterial pneumonia was thought to be the main killer of that pandemic, but there's no published work I can find that associates it with masks.

The "Spanish flu" was thought to have caused serious damage to the bronchial system, and as a result made people much more susceptible to bacterial infection.

Probably masks DID contribute to the deaths, but I can't find a published paper that investigates that.
