Be warned that our resident sceptics, namely @richwicks, will require hard proof of these bold claims of millions killed and tens of thousands of tanks destroyed.

ANY MOMENT NOW!

I barely pay attention to you.

Let's say "millions were killed". Minimum that's 2 million to make it plural. There's about 43 million Ukrainians. 2*100/43 =~ 4.65% of the population. Yeah, that's obviously bullshit. Why should I waste time refuting you? I don't think anybody is stupid enough to believe you. You're a screaming child screaming LOOK AT ME.

You're not a serious, thoughtful person. You're not principled, you're not reasonable much less logical. Who cares what you scream about? You scream, a lot.

Looks like 500 dead Ukrainian a day for the last 10 days, so 5000 dead. How many conscripts are there?

You have a proof for that number? Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY BELIEVE you, but our very strict resident sceptics like @richwicks will require solid documentation. You better have your ducks in a row or he'll rip you a new asshole for spreading state propaganda.

DON"T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT LOSING OF KHUEVATOVKA VILLAGE SOMEWHERE IN KHARKIV OBLAST POSES AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO RUSSIA AS A WHOLE?!!!!!

Losing this war is an existential threat to the Russians. Not right away, but w/o secure borders like they had with the USSR, Russia is toast.

They had secure borders before they decided to cross them and engage in landgrabs and military adventurism. And once they are kicked inside their borders nobody would follow them there. There is literally nothing of value inside Ruscia for anyone (except maybe Chyna, but even that is debatable).

That's a laugh.

Provide a list of valuable things in your mind, and give examples of where these things are in particular nations.

Here, I'll start. Energy deposits. Russia has a lot of them, and Europe doesn't.

They are going to lose more than that.

NATO is going to lose this in time:

The West has been fucking with Russia for 2 solid decades. Now that the oil spigots are off, they aren't going to go back on. Europe is fucked. I wouldn't be surprised to see a European exodus to Russia in a few years. There's a very real possibility people are going to be freezing to death in Europe this year.

People say the West is purposely imploding itself, sure looks that way. But keep listening to the propaganda out of your teeeeveeee box that has fucked us all.

Agreed, do you think we'll see Chinese troops in Europe? or will it be a wholly Russian operation?

I think Europe will essentially be a 3rd world zone with NO military intervention.

I don't think any troops will have to enter Europe. All they need to do is cut off energy. Russia and China, however, might enter the Middle East. Just give the Middle East a better deal than "give me your shit, or we're going to bomb the fuck out of you" they'll go along.

Fucking stupid Neocons have destroyed this nation and Europe. They are as arrogant, as they are stupid.

Israel will remain a US "ally", a parasite, but that will be the extent of US influence in the Middle East soon.

All somebody needs to do with the stupid Muslims is say "hey shitheads, you assholes have been fighting for over 1000 years, if you stop being dumb fucking morons, you could co-operate and build something".

I've said it many times, the end of this nation didn't start recently, it began with George W. Bush using the murder of 3,000 people in NYC as a cynical excuse to attack Iraq, which has absolutely nothing to do with it. If he was executed, as he should have been, and still should be, it would have ended, but instead we got Obozo the Black Clown to attack 5 more nations.

The MIC has destroyed this nation.

Whoever is pulling the strings in the United States doesn't give a fuck about the United States. If we're lucky, we'll end up being as important as Australia is now.

Really, I think the last 30 years of foreign policy has been "fuck it, although I know this will destroy the country, it makes me a LOT of money for now, and by the time it destroys the nation, I'll be dead - also, fuck my kids, I don't give a shit about them"

Interesting perspective, thanks! A possible best case scenario, but I don't think they will go quietly into the night though.

No, they aren't going quietly into the night.

This chaos is what they are doing to cling to power. They are kicking and screaming now.

There's censorship on the Internet, and CERTAINLY in our "news" media - that's a very clear sign of weakness, not strength. In order to maintain power, they have to continually lie to the population at this point, and they can't allow open discussion of what they are lying about.

I was personally happy to see censorship in the open. Suddenly, I could see who the enemies of the nation were. I didn't realize that Twitter was, I suspected Google but I could be certain afterward, I always knew Facebook were traitors. I didn't realize banks would deplatform people - kick them out of the actual banking system. I suspected the FIB and other intelligence agencies had some "bad apples", I didn't realize they were in fact entirely criminal organizations. I thought the DOJ was a bit corrupt, not entirely corrupt.

I'm just sitting back waiting for the rest of the public to realize it. I know it's taken many people by surprise. I think a lot of people have been in denial. I was in denial, and I'm CYNICAL, but it's 100x worse than I believed back in 2015, and I mean that, it's literally 100 times worse. I only scratched the surface. I now know our government regularly lies us into war, that politicians are nothing more than mafia heads, that the intelligence agencies will blatantly entrap and prosecute innocent people, that the DOJ engages in selective prosecution regularly. I thought these were rare occurrences, nope, that's their main function - real investigation, real prosecution, THAT is the rarity.

Losing ground to the opponent having literally 1/10 of everything compared to the RU AF: tanks, artillery pieces, aircraft... Pathetic.

If mobilizing and throwing in 300,000 poorly-equipped conscripts as cannon fodder was part of the plan, why wasn't it done before starting the SCHMO? And if it wasn't, doesn't it mean that the SCHMO is not going as planned?

Nope, it ain't going as planned. Putin had hoped to have a puppet government in Kiev. He did not want to acquire territory. The Ukies fought back instead of surrendering so now he is acquiring buffer territory by annexing parts of Ukraine into Russia. I understand the locals in the 4 areas are holding referendums over the next week to vote on becoming part of Russia. According to UN charter this is permissible (we did the same thing with respect to Kosovo). If this goes according to plan, then any attack on these newly acquired territories would constitute a direct attack on Russia itself. Putin said something about possibly using nukes to defend Russia's territorial integrity, but he has lied in the past so we will see what happens.
1553   Eric Holder   2022 Sep 21, 11:43am

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Two U.S. military veterans who disappeared while fighting Russia with Ukrainian forces have been released after about three months in captivity, relatives said Wednesday.

Alex Drueke, 39, and Andy Huynh, 27, went missing after their unit came under heavy fire in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine near the Russian border June 9. Both had traveled to Ukraine on their own and became friends because both are from Alabama.

The families announced their release in a joint statement from Dianna Shaw, an aunt of Drueke.

“They are safely in the custody of the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia and after medical checks and debriefing they will return to the states,” the statement said.

The Saudi embassy released a statement saying it had mediated the release of 10 prisoners from Morocco, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Croatia, but there wasn’t any immediate confirmation on whether Drueke and Huynh were part of the group.

Fatalities on the Ukrainian side are ten times higher, with 61,207 Kiev troops killed

"10 to 1 is not good enough, it should be at least 100 to 1 like when US forces illegaly invade other countries."

PS. So, let's recoup, Russia lost only 6,000 troops but needs to conscript 300,000? Why bother if everything works so swimmingly as is? And why did brave Ruscist troops clear out of thousands of square miles in less than a week? Tired of all that killing, I guess?

Bzzzt, wrong: he said many times, including last night, that he wants to annex a piece of Ukraine. So he did want and still wants to acquire territory. It's just he's now doing negative acquisition, that's all.

within the last three weeks Kiev had lost in total more than 7,000 service members killed and 970 weapon units neutralized, including 208 tanks, 245 APCs and 186 other armored military vehicles, as well as 15 military planes.

Everything we are told is given to us by a government that lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, lied about Qaddafi causing a humanitarian crisis in Libya, lied about Assad gassing his own citizens, and lied about not overthrowing Ukraine in a coup.

We've had the Ghost of "Kyiv", the massacre on Snake Island, a Massacre in Mariopol that wasn't done by the Russians - it's so weird to me people still believe this fucking lying government and it's pathetic propaganda media.

What are you talking about?

Did we find a weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq yet?

Stop thinking like a child. I'm so sick of it. You insist on a false dichotomy. You realize, that if Iraq's government lies, doesn't mean that the US government tells the truth, don't you?

You realize that if Ukraine's puppet US government lies, doesn't mean that Russia's government tells the truth, don't you?

Grow up.

It seems to me Russia just has to keep the war going, and win through attrition, as Europe freezes to death this winter. That's likely what they do. This war is going to drag on forever now. Even if Ukraine now gives into all the demands of Russia, Russia isn't going to stop.
1568   Misc   2022 Sep 21, 6:00pm

People within Ukraine that would like to come to terms with the Russians are targeted by our CIA (sometimes with missile strikes). The conflict is not popular in the Ukraine, but the opposing political party was disbanded and those vocalizing dissent are put in prison at best. It is a full on dictatorship.

We in the West hear about the 1000 people arrested for protesting the Russian mobilization, but we hear nothing about the arrests, closing down any opposing media and full on Big Brother activity of Zelensky.

When the Special Operation was initiated, Putin had no intention of occupying the Ukraine. He attacked with about 190000 personnel. For a country with Ukraine's population, it would take a force of about 1 million to occupy it. No, he wanted a puppet government in Kiev. He ain't gonna get that anytime soon, so he is annexing territory using the same type of referendums we used for Kosovo (let the people in the area vote to see if they wanna be part of Russia). He figures that if it is Russia territory the attacks from Ukraine will stop because Putin says he will use nukes. Putin has been known to lie on occasion, but with the systems Russia has in place if Russian territory is nuked I think the West backs down.

I doubt they need that. Russia's performance is unimpressive, regardless of there being Western Mercs probably doing 90% of the work and the Ukrainian conscripts merely doing positional warfare.

Where are the French and German and Italian troops? Much shorter transport and logistics line.

That's the point. Russia isn't interested in forcing a win and end up losing through incompetence. Unless people rise up and fire putin the situation hurts Europe more than Russia. Sure some oligarchs are fucked but the common people aren't. Russia can simply do deals with the East, plenty of energy hungry developing countries. Europe doesn't want to commit troops and lose lives as their "leaders" are already totally hated by the people. And xiden keeps shuffling hard earned American taxpayer money into corrupt Ukraine to cover for hunter, nuland et al and all their corrupt dealings and meddling.

there is a risk that the conflict would escalate into an all-out war between Russia and Europe, which could spiral out of control

In order for Europe to engage in a conventional war with Russia, they would have to get an alternative energy supply.

Europe should have LONG AGO, worked to make better relations with Russia and drop their alignment with the United States. The US should have also fostered better relations with Russia and dropped their alignment with Europe.

Remember, the whole bullshit about the Cold War was about the supposed evil of the USSR - well, the USSR is dead - so we know the enmity between the US / Europe and Russia had nothing to do with communism. It has nothing to do with human rights, it has nothing to do with democracy or self-determination.

Look at US and European relations with China. They don't give a shit about freedom, or self determination at all. We've been lied to our entire lives. Our government had made Russia an enemy for some reason, and they just make up the shit they think we want to hear to justify them as enemies. Oh, we're all mad that Russia is bombing Ukraine, Americans don't give a shit about that. The US government has been bombing tons of nations, who cares? None of the "liberals" do, they didn't give a fuck when Obomba brought back slavery to Libya, or fucking blew up Somalia or Syria. They cheered it on.
