He said he hasn't introduced one single bill since coming in office, that all he does is say mean stuff to Democrats in Congress. He's a Democrat and hates Matt Gaetz and says he is supposed to be there to do "HIS" bidding. A Democrat not even from his district. This is how he invokes "Civics" in his discussion, like everything else Civics out of context.
So after establishing that he has never actually saw one Congress session where Matt Gaetz was talking, he also admitted that outside of a handful of Democrat and Republican Congressmen he can't name more than 5 or 6 people in Congress, but Matt Gaetz is one of them. He thinks he knows enough about Congress to lecture me about Civics. I then informed him, there are two kinds of Congressmen, one goes in to pass laws and right wrongs the other vows to go in reform, and investigate. One is a legislator and the other is a committeeman. Both are just as equally mandated by the voters that elected them to pass the law or investigate what they promised to reform. I told him that Matt answers to his people back home that elected him, not Rachell Maddows and you. He talks about the Civic duty of these people to do his bidding, while ignoring the folks that actually sent them to Washington. Matt Gaetz is one a paltry few, that is actually doing what he promised to do for his voters.
Then upon further researching when I got home, I found on a .gov site, that Matt Gaetz has introduced over 136 pieces of legislation. And has backed countless others. Think the GC guy will repent in any shape or form for his misspeak? Fat chance!
