Hi, I dropped off my ballot on election day at the voting center in the Menlo Park civic center area, between the police station and library downtown.
It was filled out, signed and dated. I dropped it in the box at the head of the line right in front of an election official, after confirming with her that it was the right place to put it.
They just should have sent you a message saying: "Welcome to California" with a bird finger emoji. That's about how much our votes matter. I'll check ours tomorrow just out of curiosity.

Also, they don't scan your ballot? We have electronic and a paper backup at my polling place. I'm also just not dropping it in a box without it being scanned.
When my wife and I went and got paper ballots and filled them out, we were told to take them over to a box in front of some old fat dude who looked like they dug him out off a local bar stool. I just knew that our site printed ballots would not be counted because they know those are always Republicans but I never really checked. It was for the Newsom recall, and even the hippies in Santa Cruz wanted Newsom recalled. Of course, he wasn't. It was called really early too, so I imagine our ballots wound up in a fire some place.
This time, I said let's take the mail ballots to the drop box at city hall. At least we stood a chance of them being counted. Probably miscounted and misattributed, but at least counted.
My wife's ballot was received, but mine was not, even though I dropped it into the box right next to the election official.
WTF?
