I still don't see GWB as favorable.
Neither do I, but I don't dislike him as much as I did when he was president. Mostly because he doesn't matter anymore. It's not worth the effort to hate the guy.
I never hated the guy either, just thought he was really really incompetent.
I also think that the poll showing Bush being more popular says more about Obamas scandals and screw ups than it does about Bush. Like you said, Bush isn't relevant anymore...

Any bimbo on TV is head and shoulders above Obama with regards to their teleprompter-reading skills.

It's NOT what you say, it's when you say it that counts.
That doesn't even make sense.

Sure it does, Obama says a lot, just never on record where it counts. Like in front of the press corp. Johnny Blowjob doesn't have the wherewithal to fact check or do any meaningful retort when he's lied to, on one of Obama's monologue comedy road show.
Hey idiots,
Bush is not more popular than Obama. Bush had lower approval than Obama in his second term. All other past presidents are above 60% approval, while Bush is only at 49%. That's actually pretty dismal.

Good summary re your claims about Bush sounding like 10yo. ;)
Out of context. It was meant to indicate I can make crap up too and claim it as fact.

Polls don't count remember?
We're just stating the facts here.
Is there and echo?

DING DING DING!
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!
Fascinating turn of events. I read the comments in the huffpost and looks like the extreme left is twisting itself into a pretzel trying to make Snowden look like a criminal/traitor.
I can just imagine their reactions, if Bush or a republican were President during these events. Fascinating psychology.

On pulling stuff out of your ass and calling it the truth
No, and its embarrassing that I have to actually explain this. Your previous comment was something along the lines of what a fabulous president GW was, at which point I responded with a sarcastic reply, insomuch- claiming GW was a great president is tantamount to claiming that pink elephants can fly.

Then of course you seem to be conveniently forgetting that representatives from both parties are on both sides of the fence on this issue and hence its not exactly a strictly partisan event anyway.

What? Where? Care to post a link?
Come on fess up! It's common knowledge that if you speak out against Obama and dislike his policy then you are big bubble blowing Bush loving sissy. You're a Duck hunting Oil man ADMIT IT!!!

1500 out of 316 million know what the population is thinking?
I guess that some of those polled thought that Bush & the Republicans allowing the Homeland to be attacked & the Twin Towers to be destroyed is OK? They must also like unfunded wars?
Now this is some of that there serious trolling.
Same difference basically because you were essentially saying that Obama wasn't a better president just because of his speaking skills, and seeing as how the claim was made that "any Bimbo" would do over Obama would obviously indicate GW then, who also used a teleprompter but did so poorly. Yet that wasn't the full extent of my claim but rather aside.
Enjoy Your Hope and Change says
The skill of smoothly reading from a teleprompter is so irrelevant to being good president that it barely registers on my give-a-fuck-o-meter. That's all. The rest is your fantasies.
If the Presidency was simply nothing more than reading from teleprompters then perhaps you would have a point. But Obama actually gets shit done so you don't.
Can we finally organize a football game - OWS vs tea party and put all these arguments to rest?
Enjoy Your Hope and Change says
You seemed to value teleprompter reading skills much higher not so long ago: "the fact that Obama doesn't sound like a 10 year old speaking at the podium is reason enough to see that Bush was about 500% worse."
I am not sure how much easier to make this understandable to you. Did I in any form or fashion proclaim that Obama's use of a teleprompter was the single and only reason he was better than good ole' GW? Nope. The premise as most anyone else can see is that it was a comment in regards to a whole general mess that was the Bush admin.Enjoy Your Hope and Change says
Yep, he gets the same shit done blah blah blah...
Awfully convenient that you forgot to mention that pretty much everything on your laundry list was already enacted by GW. Whoops. Sorry ya'll lost the election and all, but that's how the cookie crumbles aint it?

Clinton didn't become popular until Bush started mucking things up around 2006. During the 2000 election Clinton was a pariah, so Gore and the other Dems locked him in box and sunk him to the bottom of the ocean for the next few years. We are now seeing the same basic timeline of events happen again with Bush and Obama's waning popularity.

Take that hoopleheads.
My Cats are more popular than Bush. So there. Take that, conservatives!

Sounds like someone has a case of sour grapes.
Sure Bush2 sucked, but Obama does make Bush2 look good, since those were the good old days of lower unemployment.

Yeah, and I just looked out my window and saw a whole heard of flying cows. Its true because I said so.

Not exactly. First, lame duck presidents always lose popularity, and former presidents always gain popularity. Obama is doing much better in the polls than Bush did at the same point in his presidency. The only way to fairly compare two presidents in the polls is to take the poll numbers they had WHEN they were president, at the same point in each one's term.
Second, I don't remember things happening at all the way you remember them. Bush started "mucking things up" almost immediately in his first term. He undoubtedly wouldn't have been re-elected if 9-11 hadn't happened, and if the democrats hadn't run a relatively weak candidate against him.
Sure Bush2 sucked, but Obama does make Bush2 look good, since those were the good old days of lower unemployment.
The unemployment rate at the end of Bush's term was 7.3%. Good old days? Gotta love that selective memory of yours.
Look at the chart. See the huge spike in unemployment? When did it start? How can you blame that on Obama? It's clear that Bush started a huge increase in unemployment, which Obama was able to reverse during his first year in office, and it has steadily declined since then. You don't seriously think that Obama had the power to instantly employ millions of people on his first day in office, do you?

It's almost painful to watch.
John Boehner is the extreme left?
We are in year 5 of your saviour!!! How many MORE years are you going to give Obama a pass and not hold HIM accountable for not improving multiple issues???
You know when someone criticizes Bush, and your response is "Obama is your hero", or "Obama is your savior"? That's called an ad hominem attack. Your response has nothing to do with the issue.
"Bush sucks"
"Oh yeah? Well you like Obama"
Non sequitur. Does not compute.
Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter, they are all sculpted from the same bullshit.
Also, citing the governments crooked numbers is irony at best.

That chart is rather meaningless seeing as how the recession started at the end of Bush's Presidency. The unemployment rate would have been just as low, if not lower had GW still been in power.
Well, we're comparing one with one so I reckon it'd be one. Have to gte out the electron microscope so all could see.
I'm trying to figure out if you are dishonest or just stupid. I already posted a chart of unemployment which clearly shows the rate started going up in 2007, WHEN BUSH WAS PRESIDENT, then began to spike in 2008, and continuing up through part of Obama's FIRST YEAR IN OFFICE, at which point it REVERSED AND BEGAN GOING DOWN AGAIN. I asked you how you could possibly blame this on Obama, when the causes of the unemployment problem clearly began on Bush's watch. And your only response is to disingenuously post some bullshit graphics that ignore the reality I presented to you? Your charts look like homemade garbage, by the way. The lettering isn't straight and the diagonal lines are pixelated. I wonder where you got those graphics, because they look like something put together in Microsoft Paint by an idiot.
By your warped logic, it would be like me owning a car for 8 years, wrecking the car in the 8th year, then selling it to you, then saying it's your fault because I drove a pristine car for 7 years and you're driving a wrecked car.
If I filled a balloon with farts and let it float away, it would be more popular than Bush was.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/06/11/Bush-More-Popular-Than-Obama
In a Gallup tracking poll released Tuesday, former-President George W. Bush currently stands with a favorability rating of 49%, compared to 46% who see the 43rd president unfavorably. Meanwhile, another Gallup poll shows President Obama with only a 47% approval rating, with 44% disapproving.
If you think about it, this makes perfect sense.
After all, Obama fooled everyone when he ran as the anti-Bush in 2008.
Everyone thought Obama meant he would be less hawkish than his predecessor. But as we have seen, Obama apparently has no problem killing American citizens via remote control with drones or greatly expanding upon Bush's surveillance state. This, even though Obama told us he had pretty much won the War on Terror.
Therefore, it appears that what Obama meant by promising to be the anti-Bush is that, unlike George W. Bush, Obama would not get us out of a recession and into many years of economic prosperity. There would also be successful terror attacks on American soil during Obama's watch and a litany of scandals unseen in almost a half-century.
Maybe the next time a former community organizer raised in a creepy church runs for president, the media will work a little harder to dig into his real agenda.
