Read the timeline above from CNN. You can't say Wilson was in the right. I don't personally believe he was considering the timeline.

This was predictable and is observable here. There is a bias against blacks in America, which results in them getting killed and in the public not giving a shit.

Second, is bias in favor of police. People assign all kinds of qualities---manliness, heroism, archetypal qualities-- to cops.

The de facto policy is that cops can kill blacks and nearly always get away with it.

What I don't get is why conservatives so willingly fall in love with the police, who are simply Gendarmes for the State, to be used to further the goals of the State.

If Brown did assault Wilson, and if there was a struggle for his gun, it wouldn't be unusual for Wilson to fear for his life. If Brown did charge Wilson after these events, lethal force is a likely outcome.

Up here in Washington state, cops kill folks who brush up against officers with their cars while fleeing, irrespective of color. That doesn't seem right at all. In these cases policy needs to change, but there have been no grand juries convened.

I agree on the dangers of the police state but it has nothing to do with racism. Minority cops in the bay area will tell you the same thing, they are simply more afraid in problem districts and they know the crime statistics by race. We could start breaking that cycle with drug legalization which then wouldn't get people in problem and socially poor areas into prison into the first place. It's a start, be practical about it. Screaming racism accomplishes nothing.

There wasn't enough evidence to support having a real trial! The preponderance of evidence supported the cop's story, and he was just doing his job. A grand jury just decides if there is a decent chance that the person is guilty of something. This jury decided that there was not. This is why people call you nuts, Gary. Because you believe blindly in things both unseen and contrary to evidence. So when you might actually have a point about something controversial, people just assume you're still wearing your tin hat. How can you expect to gain credibility when you seem to lack judgement?
