It seemed to me that as the Bill Cosby story started growing legs, there were conservatives who rushed to his defense. I believe they thought it was an attack, based on spurious accusations from opportunistic women, driven by his "tough love" conservative rhetoric about how black men are responsible for their own plight. "Pull up your pants", a la Don Lemon pontificating made him a target for the liberal media, the NAACP or some nonsense.

Does anyone have similar recollections?

Racist!!!

His Victims weren't Victims, they were young sluts that gave up their dignity to be present with a grown married man almost twice their age, to put in some couch time to further their career.
How come we aren't hearing from people like Sharon Stone and or the women he did schtup that then went on and made to be successful.
Angie Dixson is just a bitter washed up has been who has now been victimized after 40 some odd years of thinking nothing more of it.

I bet everyone of his Victims at the time had a boy friend, that was driving them selves crazy looking for these women the nights in question, and those girls knew it, but they were with the Cos putting in couch time because they wanted to be a star. I bet they lied the next day to their boyfriends saying they were visiting their grandmother in the hospital. They damned sure didn't go to the police. They were exited they caught a big break the night before.

"It's not like he did it yesterday." -- Rush Limbaugh

So if you raped someone long enough ago, it didn't really happen.

Glenn Beck, on an AP interview in which an AP reporter asked Cosby about the allegations:

After the interview, when Cosby apparently thought the camera had been turned off, he said of that portion, “I would appreciate it if it was scuttled.” Perhaps realizing no one on his team had told the reporter those questions were off limits, he said he had thought “it wouldn’t be necessary to go over that question with you” in advance because the AP is a respected news organization.

“You want to talk about rape? That’s media rape, right there,” Beck said on his radio show Thursday after playing audio from the AP video. “You said you would not do that. Since when does your ‘no’ mean ‘yes’? Do you know the definition of ‘no,’ sir? You’ve just raped Bill Cosby. You said you wouldn’t do it. You just did it and then you blamed it on him. My gosh, maybe we should have a lesson on rape.”

But as the Associated Press stated in the video they ultimately decided to release, “the interview was on record” and “the AP made no agreement to avoid questions about the allegations or to withhold publishing any of his comments at any time.”

Unless Beck has some reason to believe the AP is lying about the nature of the interview, the company had every right to not only ask Cosby about the allegations but also to publish his defiant response to those questions.

I don't see many Conservatives sticking up for Cosby now that there are so many accusers who have come forward.

But most Liberals I know still support Bill Clinton despite having numerous women accuse him of sexual harassment. Even when Clinton is on the Rolodex of a convicted pedophile (Epstein) and took flights to his orgy island, they still defend Clinton.

I'm not sticking up for him, I'm just questioning the character of the women at the time of the incident. You can't tell me they didn't go for self serving reasons.
Now either they were stupendously gullible or they went expecting the Classic Hollywood break.

Do you really think the phrase "Couch time" was coined just today?

Respectable meetings and auditions are conducted during open call, at an office, stage or studio somewhere. Not in a middle aged man's Hotel room, next to the mini bar, and bottle of ludes.

I think that's spurious reasoning. I'm sure Denny Hastert is on a lot of people's speed-dials, and in addition to 2nd in line to being President, was the longest serving Republican Speaker in history. Fellow Illinois Congressman, Dan Crane, had sex with an underage (17 year old) page.

And the so-called "liberal media" has barely been talking about the cluck-clucking that accompanies a Clinton. Can you imagine if Hastert were a Democrat? This would be a result of liberalism's lack of Jeevis and morals, and indictment of Democrats' worldview.

You agree they did though, at first?

I am thinking his "victims" will now start a reality show-they couldn't make it back then and this is their last chance before they croak. Who knows, it is he said and a bunch of loons say after decades of the alleged act.
If I say I was raped by Bill Cosby, do I get money and be on TV??

I don't recall seeing any prominent Republicans or Pundits defending Hastert AFTER the allegations became public.

Whereas, many Democrats to this very day still worship Bill Clinton despite numerous women coming forward with accusations of sexual harassment. Even after Monica's Blue Dress became known, the Democrats chose to blame the young intern.

Duh.

Because they hate gays.

Thought it was an allegation of pedophilia? Hastert had a relationship with a student wrestler or something?

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton hangs out with convicted pedophiles and use their private jets to go to Epstein's orgy island. This is all on top of the mountains of other allegations against Clinton before he even became President.

Where were the parents? Why would they drop a kid off at a grown man's hotel room while he was dressed in a patchwork Bathrobe and wearing a Rerun hat from "what's happening"?

I can just hear their mother's as they dropped them off saying...

"Remember the reach around sweetie..."

How old were the victims? "Look out at Mr. Cosby's house...he might slip you a mickey and rape you!"

What are you talking about ? Democrats didn't blame Monica. They just defended Clinton's right to privacy regarding matters such as sex. Even if it was immoral relative to his marriage, that was between him and his wife.

The sad thing is that after years of having a special prosecutor trying to find dirt on CLinton, that was the best they could do. I was vicariously embarrassed for indignant acting republicans to stupid to see their own obvious dishonesty and scumbaggery.

OH yeah, don't forget to remind me, "it wasn't the sex it was his lying about it." What was he supposed to do when cornered about such behavior. Besides, technically he didn't lie. And of course the morons think they can get outraged about that too, (Cilinton talking about whether the verb 'is' refers to past tense or not) without looking assinine.

We get it. You hate. You've got a lot of hate that needs to go somewhere.

Hmm. Now I have to start a reality TV show. How I became lost and confused-I was raped by Bill Cosby while watching him on TV. He sent rape waves through the TV and raped me. I am now damaged-I am exploring it all out on TV for 300k an episode and book deals, victim talking circuit fees.

Hmm guess I am a man , so won't sell. maybe have to dress up as a tranny and compete with I am Cait? The feminazis will donate to my cause for sure!!

I can retire in 2 years.
