Separation of church and state. If you work as an agent of the state, you can't let religious beliefs get in the way of performing your duties in accordance with the law. A conscientious Christian would render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's.
Christians aren't the once strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up civilian population to prove their faith. Those muslims hate our nation, some openly, some covert.
The US law trumps any religious belief. You cannot be a public employee if you refuse to uphold the law, IMO.
Fire the fucker.Same goes for Christians.
I agree. A judge is sworn to uphold the law. If he can't he should be fired.
Of course similarly, private business are not beholden to the same rules and ought not be forced to serve customers engaged in activities they disagree with cough Oregon.
If a Muslim in public office refuses to follow US law, should he or she be fired?
If he truly is a believer in his religion, he should quit, as man's law should never be allowed to trump God's. If he attempts to stay in office, and tries to claim religious reasons for not doing his job, I'd say he's just using religion as an excuse, and should be fired for being a pussy, religion has nothing to do with it.
