President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday that he says will keep migrant families together during detention on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump said he will not end the administration's "zero tolerance" policy of criminally prosecuting every adult who crosses U.S. borders illegally, including those seeking asylum.

"We're keeping families together and this will solve that problem. At the same time we are keeping a very powerful border and there continues to be a zero tolerance," Trump told reporters before he signed the order.

I am watching the Trump rally in MN. Trump tells the single protestor to go home to Mommy !!! I love this man. I was wrong, I wanted him to take care of jeff Sessions-if he did before the mid-terms it would have been non stop outrage. Now it is turning into an advantage and after the mid-terms he can deal with that old goat.

To the other protestor-was that a man or a woman, I couldn't tell-he needs a haircut -hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
29   MrMagic   2018 Jun 20, 5:28pm

What the hell happened??

Total Liberal outrage by the usual suspects here yesterday regarding Trump ripping infants from their mothers and placing them in concentration camps. Now today, all we have is "crickets"..

Where did these Liberal pawns go?

Are they all waiting by their phones for the next Liberal narrative to be text to them to troll with?

What a stud. Liberal women are finally realizing that their hatred for Trump has really been lust for his alpha schlong, and they don't know how to deal with it. Liberal men are coping by fingering their manginas to cuckold porn.

Maybe the few remaining CNN watchers are getting tired of the lame attempts at whipping up hatred for The Donald:

You're a former Dem (I hope). What is is that still attracts them to such lies and bullshit night after night on CNN?

Are they really this clueless and just dumb, kool-aid drinking "sheep"?

But doesn't it bring the whole situation back to pre-1985 status quo?

Yep, screaming about illegals to fire up the base while making sure they don't really get deported just like always. Until so many employers go to jail that no one will hire an illegal it's all just a big smokescreen. Where are the executive arrests? Employing illegals is a crime.

I'm referring to the ACLU 1985 case re detention of minors. Not sure what your rant (comprised of 100% of canned talking points) has to do with this particular narrow legal matter.

I was referring to reagan pre amnesty. I forgot about flores. Which was about a policy of only releasing unauthorized unaccompanied children to their parent so I don't see how it is relevant to prosecuting families that cross together as a narrow legal point.

The truth of the total hypocrisy of the republican dealing with illegals is far from canned talking points. The conservatives have been flaming up outrage about illegals to fire up the base voters while very quietly blocking any reform to please corporate donors for many years.

Including trump. The wall is strictly meat for the base. Over 2/3's of illegals are visa overstayers who entered the US perfectly legally. How will the wall stop them? How will zero tolerance policy at the border stop them. Where are all the news events about tracking them down? How many employers have been criminally prosecuted to discourage hiring of illegals under trump? Where are all the big speeches from trump about the criminal employers? Just a big political show as always. The only difference is Trump is a much bigger showman.

When will your party support E-Verify Bob?

Why does your party block any common sense immigration reform?

What party it that? i'm independent formerly republican. Republicans control both houses. How many mandatory usage of e verify bills have they introduced under Trump? Zero. The legal workforce act with mandatory e-verify has been introduced every session since 2011 and has gone nowhere every time. It has never made it out of committee. Republican chaired and majority committee. You do remember it's been a republican congress since 2010 don't you? Someone slipped mandatory e verify into the 2019 budget proposal. Want to bet some serious money it won't be there when congress finishes the budget? Which party is it that is blocking common sense immigration reform?

Don't let facts screw up good bit of nonsense partisan demagoguery though.

Sounds like you agree that these "asylum" cases are mostly bullshit and people are not "fleeing gang/domestic violence" but migrating for purely economic reasons. I mean, if somebody is really fleeing from a mortal danger, does he really-really care whether he'll have a job at the safe destination? And will a person who loses his job go back to where his life is in mortal danger? The answer for both questions is obviously "no".

Asylum seekers is just another bullshit political theatre straw man. Not that many people at the border are asylum seekers. The US only took in 85,000 asylum seekers in 2016 and only granted asylum to 26,000. That was for the entire world, not just the mexican border. The border patrol grabs over half a million people a year for christ sakes. Getting past the “credible fear” test has always been hard and sessions has made it much harder.

Yet you never seem to have nary a bad word about Democrats when they oppose "common sense" immigration reform. This week we have Democrats like Kamala Harris saying that no illegal alien family should ever be detained if caught by ICE sneaking across the border. That is basically total open borders. All a human or drug smuggler needs is to carry a kid with them.

I've already conceded that some Republican Chamber of Commerce types are against E-Verify, but the majority of Republicans are for it. E-Verify doesn't get out of committee because they know they can't get enough Democrat votes in the House and Senate once out of committee.

What "common sense" immigration reform are you talking about? Changing the policy from prioritizing going after proven criminals to simply making everyone a criminal case and creating total chaos. I agree with the dems that was just stupid. The debates on immigration reform on patnet are always right wingnuts throwing out outrageous bullshit bombs. Want to show the debates that have been had where the dem's were blocking common "common sense" immigration reform?

The only common sense immigation reform is eliminating jobs for illegals. Not a peep out about going after employers from trump or the republicans. I said the exact same thing when it was Obama in charge.

Load of crap. R's have a majority in the house and don't need a single D vote. No way D's are going the philibuster E-Verify in the Senate going into mid term elections. Never going to happen. The republican comiittee chairman are deliberatly bottling it up so they can have their cake and eat it to. Appease the base with rhetoric about going after illegal immigrants and the corporatate donors by actually preventing anything from happening.

Which bills were those? What were the vote totals? Saying something is true doesn't make it true. Keeping E-verify in committee and refusing to allow it to a floor vote has zero to do with dems, even though you claim the dems are holding it up. Something you skipped over discussing while accusing me of political favouritism. .

So once we secure the borders what shall we do about the problem that 2/3's of illegals entered legally and overstayed? Will a gazillion dollar wall help with that? If the existing laws against employing illegals were enforced and no one would employ an illegal those illegals would leave also. When do you suppose trump will be issuing an executive order on that? When will we see executives doing perp walks? Until that day it's all self serving political theatre on both sides. But the R's are the hypocrites. The dems have wrong positions on some of the issues, but they aren't saying one thing and doing another.

Voters Blame Parents, Not Feds, For Border Children Crisis

Most voters blame the parents of the separated children at the border for the latest illegal immigration crisis, not the federal government.

When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law.

To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of Democrats think the Trump administration is too aggressive in trying to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States, a view shared by only 23% of Republicans and a plurality (46%) of unaffiliated voters.

Maybe because there's NOTHING to disclose. Did you miss this part of the article?

....."There is no reason to think that anyone in the Trump Organization was intentionally seeking to help the Iranians. Trump’s top lawyer at the time, Jason Greenblatt, oversaw the contract with the Mammadovs and is now at the White House, serving as an adviser on the Middle East. An Orthodox Jew, Greenblatt is known as a supporter of Israel and an antagonist of Iran."

I'm pretty sure the children don't travel 1000 miles through the heat all by themselves and made the decision to go to the US without parental involvement.
