They just act, and are surprised always by the ramifications.
I work with nothing but Liberals they make decisions to take servers off line because they think no one is using it. Because they were just told they need to set up paperwise.
Rather than checking if it would affect anyone taking a rarely used SQL server off line or if anyone is accessing those tables they just take it down. Then when you confront them that you need it, and ask why they didn't send out an email. They play the victim. God I miss when Conservative critical thinkers ruled the enterprise.

posted an article about how

I remember an article a bit like that, but it was merely stupid clickbait. The article was about how to persuade a straight guy to bottom, and the general reaction was why on earth would anyone want to do that. There are plenty of gay guys, plus a chronic surfeit of "straight" Larry Craig types at the Reseda truck stop toilet. As for the actual straight guys, back before the issue got tied up with identity, many would top for beer or money. (The Simpsons had a funny reference to that: Homer thinks Mr. Burns is hitting on him and says "We're going to need some beer.") An irony of gay liberation is that probably fewer people are actually having gay sex now that it has become bound up with personal identity. In other places and times, e.g. modern Brazil or ancient Rome, identity is/was a function of what a person does, not with whom.

Yep. It was okay to be a top but not a bottom; the former wasn't considered unmasculine, only a bit of a character flaw if you weren't making many babies with your wife because you were spending all your time chasing guys.

Possibly becasue they don't define critical thinking skills as dishonestly rationalizing beliefs that are based on emotions, ignorance and hate. I don't know, could that be it ?

Also this flag, which says (in Arabic) "There is no god but Allah, Mohammad is his prophet." That is the Shahadah, i.e. the official statement of belief in Islam, and a common family name among Muslims. Note they underline the Shahadah with a sword like the swords they use to execute apostates and blasphemers:

It seems like between the lines you are acknowledging something about Trump supporters ?

I get it, you guys aren't in to touting your own virtues. I can't help but wonder though if that has any connection with actually being less virtuous.

It's as if you are saying: "you guys think you're better than me becasue you don't lie nearly as much, and becasue you care about humanity, and the future of the planet. Oh, jeez, it's like all you want to talk about is how you think you're better than me."

My point being that sometimes when people are turned off by lying or evil, and they say so, it's not becasue they are trying to tell you they are better than you.

It's really totally beside the point, but at the same time, possibly true.

Trust Marcus to come to the wrong conclusion all by himself! No, Marcus, you’re wrong! In fact, touting one’s own virtues is in itself UNvirtuous! People who do this on the regular are known colloquially as “douchebags” and nobody wants to be around them. This attitude is backed up in culture and religious traditions in the West.

Some relevant passages from the Bible:

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy],”
‭‭MATTHEW‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This attitude is firmly ingrained into Western Civilization, after a couple thousand years of widespread Christianity.

I hope that clears up your question.

Liberals actually do lack knowledge of what conservatives believe:

“In all analyses, conservatives were more accurate than liberals.” Asked to think the way a liberal thinks, conservatives answered moral questions just as the liberal would answer them, but liberal students were unable to do the reverse. Rather, they seemed to put moral ideas into the mouths of conservatives that they don’t hold. To put it bluntly, Haidt and his colleagues found that progressives don’t understand conservatives the way conservatives understand progressives. This he calls the ‘conservative advantage,’ and it goes a long way in explaining the different ways each side deals with opinions unlike their own. People get angry at what they don’t understand, and an all-progressive education ensures that they don’t understand.
