The “massive bribery scheme” Giuliani is referring to has to do with Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, who held a directorship with a Ukrainian natural gas company called Burisma Holdings in 2014. At one point, Hunter was making $50,000 a month from Burisma. ...

Yoshiko M. Herrera, an expert on Russia and Eurasian policy at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, told the Washington Post that Hunter Biden’s position was “a conflict of interest even if it doesn’t break any laws.”

“Calling Hunter Biden a private citizen ignores the obvious links to the vice president,” Herrera said. “Conflict-of-interest rules should have applied. If Biden is working for the Obama administration on Ukraine, his son should not have been on the board of a company there that could be affected by U.S. policy spearheaded by his father.”

Even the extremely biased NY Times has to admit that Hunter Biden was unethical:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/20/us/politics/trump-whistle-blower-ukraine.html

When he was vice president, Mr. Biden cast himself as both the Obama administration’s advocate of military assistance to Kiev as well as the chief antagonist of the notorious corruption in Ukraine’s government. In early 2016, he threatened to withhold $1 billion in American loan guarantees if Ukraine’s top prosecutor was not dismissed after accusations that he had ignored rampant corruption.

Mr. Biden succeeded; the prosecutor general was voted out office. And Hunter Biden had an interest in the outcome: He sat on the board of an energy company that had been in the sights of the ousted prosecutor general.

It was right of Trump to call for investigation of Hunter Biden. He should also figure out who in his administration is spying on him for the benefit of corrupt Democrats.

Biden is running for President of the USA.

No he is not. He's running for a party nomination to then run for President. Don't put the cart before the horse. Biden is not on any November 2020 ballot in ANY state in this country. Trump has interfered with ZERO elections regarding this.

Local governments just cooperate with the parties to put them on the ballot so they have an organized way to see who is top dog. Which is then fucked up by super delegates. What law was broken? This has nothing to do with electing the president of the United States. It has to do with who wins a primary for the club called the Democrats and in many year includes the club of Republicans. The federal government has no jurisdiction in this and not one democrat is in the pure sense of the term, running for President. We gonna start saying there was election interference for the Lions Club President, cause that what this is.

This is fucking hysterical. It's almost getting so hysterical it's not even funny. If Biden was not guilty why all the butt hurt over this? It's a distraction. Plain and simple, and no law was violated. I hold an elected office. If I question that Joe Biden hooked his son up and then tried to protect that fact by asking someone else, should I lose my position? Think about it. You're defending an indefensible position.

It is unseemly but not illegal to get huge salary while doing pretty much nothing. Happens on corporate boards everywhere.

So why is it a constitutional crisis when some foreigner stays at Maralago?

Wookie, the allegation is that Biden threatened to block US Taxpayer-Government Aid to Ukraine unless the Poroshenko Government fired Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Bursima and their hiring of multiple foreign individuals on their board, paying them outrageous sums (esp. for Ukraine: $80k/month). With no quid pro quo from Trump, the transcripts show that Trump asked Ukraine to determine why the prosecutor was fired. Shokin's firing - he was seen to be a powerful anti-corruption activist - occurred within hours of Biden's alleged demand to the Ukrainian government.

Biden bragging about it is on video from a CFR speech he gave in January of 2018.

The Democrats want the public to think that asking a President to describe why an investigation into a potential criminal act by a US official was cancelled, is worse than the Public Official threatening a foreign government with Congressionally-approved aid being withheld until a criminal investigation into his son is called off.

The MSM is attempting to claim that Trump's request is some how foreign interference in a US Election. More laughable, given that if what Trump is doing was wrong, why wasn't the Obama Admin wrong for using foreign-sourced slander, the Steele Dossier, to get a FISA warrant into officials within the 2016 Trump Election Campaign AFTER he won the primary and was on the ballot in all 50 states.

It's really nothing short of ridiculous.

Yep. No present, emolument, Office, or Title given to Trump by Ukraine, with or without Congressional Consent. So why Jazz is quoting this is a mystery.

It's just more:

Yeah. What is the high crime or misdemeanor people want Trump impeached for?
78   Onvacation   2019 Sep 26, 1:55pm

"Any profits arising from guests staying at Trump's properties arises, one would think, not from the fact that he has held the office of the presidency for three years but from the rather longer standing one that he owns luxury hotels. (Bill Clinton on the other hand was somewhat newer to the hospitality business when he allowed his most generous financial supporters to rent out the Lincoln Bedroom.) The argument is risible on its face."

Here is the Biden Video, from Left Wing Activist "Secular Talk", hours after he bragged to the CFR audience about having the Ukrainian Prosecutor fired using threats of US Aid Withholding.

www.youtube.com/embed/rtO1OigwfVs

"We're leaving within six hours and if the prosecutor isn't fired, you're not getting the money."

Total Quid Pro Quo. And guess what happened?

Again, this is from Biden's own mouth and presented by anti-Trump Leftist Secular Talk.

Transcript:

"I’ll give you one concrete example. I was—not I, but it just happened to be that was the assignment I got. I got all the good ones. And so I got Ukraine. And I remember going over, convincing our team, our leaders to—convincing that we should be providing for loan guarantees. And I went over, I guess, the 12th, 13th time to Kiev. And I was supposed to announce that there was another billion-dollar loan guarantee. And I had gotten a commitment from Poroshenko and from Yatsenyuk that they would take action against the state prosecutor. And they didn’t.
So they said they had—they were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, I’m not going to—or, we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, you have no authority. You’re not the president. The president said—I said, call him. (Laughter.) I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

There's another problem for Democrats:

Was Biden Bluffing or did Obama give him permission to threaten Ukraine with aid cutoff if they didn't fire the prosecutor to get their CONGRESSIONAL approved US Aid?

Try looking up the word "emolument."

Yep, I know what it means.

An emolument is what Hunter Biden got from Bursima to the tune of $80k/month.

There is literally no reference to salaries or any other compensation for either President for any favors done in the entire Phone Call Transcript.

As much as I dislike all this circus of IMPARTIAL! MEDIA! blaming Trump for Biden's son's corruption, I very, very strongly doubt that Obama had anything to do with it because the whole payoff setup is so petty and stupid that only a senile imbecile would go through with it, and Obama is not THE senile imbecile.
86   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 Sep 26, 5:15pm

It swings both ways 6rdB.

If Obama didn't give him permission, then Biden was lying to Porky, and he's out there by himself. Obama's endorsement (which is mysteriously not happening, maybe this is why) can be forgotten about. No more wrapping himself in Obama's Admin, which is a huge incentive for Dems to vote for him.

If Obama did give him permission, then the circus has just begun!

Either way, big win!

Not to investigate his political rivals with a foreign government. BTW, you just invoked defense #2

Running for office does not make Joe Biden and/or his son above the law. You seem to want to impeach Trump for exposing the Bidens.

https://freebeacon.com/politics/hunter-bidens-china-deal-partners-include-mobster-whitey-bulgers-nephew-john-kerrys-stepson/

Former vice president Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden partnered with infamous mobster Whitey Bulger's nephew and former secretary of state John Kerry's stepson for his lucrative business deal with the Bank of China, according to reporter Peter Schweizer's latest book.

Schweizer points to the business deal with state-owned Bank of China, a $1.5 billion private equity investment, as a possible reason why the current presidential candidate has adopted a conciliatory attitude toward China. The lucrative deal between the Bank of China and Hunter Biden's company was inked in 2013 just weeks after Joe Biden brought his son along on an official trip to China.

Neither Hunter Biden nor Joe Biden were ever the subject of any Ukrainian investigation of corruption.

What do you suppose the Ukrainians paid Hunter Biden $80,000 per month for?

This is where the cognitive dissonance comes in. I don't expect a cogent answer.

Actually, I think Obama had asked Biden to take the initiative on Ukraine. Hunter was brought on board very shortly after Biden taking the initiative (which was well before the firing incident). The timing of Hunter's hiring is suspicious.

If you're looking for a USA crime to pin on Hunter, go with: not properly registering as a lobbyist for foreign interest. That, however, is apparently only a crime if you also happen to be a campaign manager for Trump (even if only briefly).

Gulf of Tonkin, Operation MKUltra, Operation PBSucess, Operation Ajax, Operation Northwoods... Who would be stupid enough to believe a retired general or the intelligence agencies at this point? How gullible are you? Find that weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq yet? All your retired generals and intelligence agencies agreed they were there. Didn't you see Colin Powell at the UN shaking around a vial with some white powder in it?

How is it even POSSIBLE that anybody still trusts the intelligence agencies and upper levels of the military at this point.

Prove it then we can prosecute them.

Just like we're going to prosecute Biden and his cokehead son..

Most normal people are entirely fine with prosecuting corruption, but you seem to be saying "well sure, Hunter Biden engaged in blatant corruption with his father, but Trump's kids do too - so we should ignore it". No.

@jazz_music You probably mean well, but it's not about Trump himself, never was.

It's about electing somebody that the elite don't want and that's all there really is to it.

The elite hate us. They want us to DIE and be replaced by whomever they can import.

Trump is hated by the liberal elite, and therefore Trump is not one of them.

That's all any voter really wanted, and Trump definitely is that. End of story.

Hear hear!

Anybody the establishment hates, gets my vote, because I hate the establishment. They've kept us in 18 years of war, have bankrupted the nation, enforce the laws selectively, allow blatant and obvious criminality, run garbage public schools we're faced to pay for, force taxpayers to bail out banks and corporations, and are the most hypocritical bastards this world has ever seen.
