Since we know the numbers are going to suck since Peppermint Patty is leading the Amen Corner Media to blame Putin for it:

Frankly, I prefer my spaceship to have big tits and not fake inflated ones.

EDIT - numbers drop:
America goes back to the 80s: Surging gas prices and higher rents push inflation to 41-year high of 8.5% as White House blames it on Putin invading Ukraine
The consumer price index rose 8.5% in March from a year ago, the fastest increase since December 1981
Housing costs, which make up about a third of the index, have escalated and show no signs of cooling
Gasoline prices soared 49% in March from a year ago as the war in Ukraine rocked energy markets
Biden's administration tried to get ahead of the dire inflation news by blaming Russian leader Vladimir Putin
But Republicans place the blame for soaring prices on 'Democrats' reckless spending and failed policies'

EXCLUSIVE: Consumers are noticing 'shrinkflation' – and don’t like it

According to results of a new survey of more than 1,000 U.S. consumers and business owners exclusively released to Chain Store Age by Clarify Capital, more than four-in-five consumer respondents (81%) have noticed shrinkflation, with three-in-10 (29%) having seen it very often since 2020.

Retailers jacked up prices and squeezed consumers. They might have just blinked

But then, blowing up its own argument in mid-sentence, in the video CNBC used a Subway turkey sub as an example. The sub cost $5 two years ago. It costs $11 now. Even Portlanders can tell that’s a lot more than +23%. ...

This almost seems like a cliche, but if a Republican were occupying the White House, inflation would be all that CNBC would be talking about, twenty-four-by-seven, and not in this good, optimistic, seeing-the-bright-side way. It would be the End of the Financial World. Trust me.

.

The Vanguard fund that invests in the overall bond market has at best kept up with annual inflation since it started in 2007. I wonder if the bond crash of 2022 to 2023 is the reason for this dismal performance, and that this bond fund will recover as the worst is now behind it for the current economic cycle.

Inflation obviously has weighed down the performance of this bond fund.

'Highway Robbery': Burger Chain Slammed for 'Out of Control' Prices Amid Inflation

A Five Guys receipt is going viral on social media.

"5 dollars for a small fry is highway robbery," one user said. "It's literally just a potato and some salt. Cost them a quarter to make."
