Since we know the numbers are going to suck since Peppermint Patty is leading the Amen Corner Media to blame Putin for it:

Frankly, I prefer my spaceship to have big tits and not fake inflated ones.

EDIT - numbers drop:
America goes back to the 80s: Surging gas prices and higher rents push inflation to 41-year high of 8.5% as White House blames it on Putin invading Ukraine
The consumer price index rose 8.5% in March from a year ago, the fastest increase since December 1981
Housing costs, which make up about a third of the index, have escalated and show no signs of cooling
Gasoline prices soared 49% in March from a year ago as the war in Ukraine rocked energy markets
Biden's administration tried to get ahead of the dire inflation news by blaming Russian leader Vladimir Putin
But Republicans place the blame for soaring prices on 'Democrats' reckless spending and failed policies'

1977 prices

$1 dollar in 1977 is equivalent to around $4.25 in today's dollars

you would never get these deals like all you can eat fried fish meal for less than $10 in anywhere

I used gold prices from today and 12 years ago to show my brother in law that his house actually declined in value…
Didn’t make him happy.

This meme sums up over inflated RE more than 20 years of Patrick.net convos, debates, posts and hills to die on.

This is one example that anyone can see and there no evidence that the current trend would stop anytime soon!

Proving that inflation exists does not mean buying a house is a bad idea. If one is going to be staying in an area for several years, buying a house is a good hedge against that inflation.

“Americans as of Sunday faced a 20.6% average effective tariff rate, according to the Yale Budget Lab, the highest since 1910.
The full effect of the tariffs might not be felt for months …. But the … resulting price increases could amount to the equivalent of a $2,800 hit in yearly household income.”

They do. The effect was offset by lower gasoline and used car prices, so the headline number came up prettier than it should have been. And it's still early to see full effect due to tacoing and companies building up inventories prior to tariffs going into effect.

No. They don't. Because tariffs cause demand destruction, which is deflationary.

Then explain the tax revenues from this last quarter?

Yeah, because there isn't a 100K fleet of beaters heading to Mexico anymore.
