The comments come a day after Trump said in a press conference that he would not launch peace talks until after his inauguration. Trump, who takes office on Jan. 20, pledged repeatedly during his campaign to negotiate an end to the war as soon as he was elected.

"This is a war that needs to end, and I think he can do it in the near term," Kellogg said in an interview with Fox News.

Kellogg defined the "near term" as 100 days out from inauguration, and said it was his personal and professional goal to help Trump broker a solution by that point.

"People need to understand, he's not trying to give something to Putin or to the Russians, he's actually trying to save Ukraine and save their sovereignty," Kellogg said.

"And he's going to make sure that it's equitable and it's fair."

I don't trust news 90% of the time. I didn't think Trump would stop it right away. It's a money laundering operation and he said he "could" stop it on day one, but that wouldn't require peace talks. We could obliterate Russian or Ukrainian positions in 24 hours if we want.

Russia has no Med fleet now. We could get into the Black Sea. Pick a side or flipping demolish it all with conventional weapons in the air. No one has leverage in the conflict right now.

Ukraine AND Russian Oligarchs are getting cash from this thing. Until the bank statement says $0 of Western aid, this doesn't end without boots or planes from the US just demolishing the war. Trump is not a war monger, but just send a couple bombers over there and drop 1-2 dozen MOAB's on the Russians. Then negotiate.

What in the hell would Russia do? Give them a warning too so there's minimal casualties. They'll retreat. Get them to the table and figure it out. Really all they have to do is drop 1 MOAB.
