How are these equivalent?

Mexico and Brazil both have strict gun control and far higher homicide rates than the US, even with our gang violence. The US also suffers from open borders with a narco-cartel state, which smuggles weapons, drugs, and humans (some voluntarily, some not) to our cities. How can one have any discussion of gun control in the midst of millions of migrants and materials crossing the border? The laws would impact only the law-abiding, at a time when police have stepped down efforts to stop crime. Sounds like a great way to become a statistic.

Of all people, Indians (and many other populations that have a long history of living around the periphery of Eurasian continent) should have known that governments are often run by barbarians; e.g. in the case of Indian subcontinent, the Vedic barbarians over-running the civilized people of Hrappa.

So long as there are people who are willing/eager to follow orders, especially follow orders in order to get paid or get promotions, gun ownership can not be monopolized by "the government," which is usually staffed by disproportionally Narcissistic people. The military and the police members have 16x higher percentage of diagonosed Narcissistic Personality Disorders than the civilian population. It was not a co-incidence that shortly after Germans were disarmed, the Nazi and Gestapo no longer feared getting shot when they invaded people's homes and threw grandpas off the staircases; it was not a co-incidence that shortly after the Soviet citizens were disarmed, their government rolled out gulags; it was not a co-incidence that shortly after the Chinese government disarmed their citizens, their government fell to communists. A society that puts premium on "education" and credentials is not capable of defending itself against barbarians through government channels alone, as their governments usually become highly corrupt and inefficient (just look at the police stand-downs and kneeling to criminals during BLM riots); an armed citizenry becomes necessary as the last bulwark against barbarians.

Governments taken over and run by barbarians in the 20th century alone (usually in the form of "communists" and "national socialists," both were agents sponsored by bankers bent on killing account holders in order to avoid having to pay back the money) were responsible for more than 100 million deaths. That number is far greater than all the homicides carried out by private individuals.

The striking growth of death from overdose is thanks to the prescription opioids. The Government and the established media know about it but the lobbying dollars are just so sweet.

An interesting perspective on gun violence and gun control:

Out of 193 countries, the United States is #3 in gun violence numbers.

However:

If you exclude the 5 U.S. cities with the most gun violence—-

St. Louis, Detroit, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago—

all “blue” cities with very strict gun control laws —

Then the USA drops to number 189 in gun violence.

Which just goes to prove that before you can begin to solve a problem…..

…. you have to understand what the problem is.
