And 5 years ago, when that woman held a fake trump head up, would have been arrested and jailed for 10 years, this would not have happened. If all the politicians who request their opponents jailed or murdered, were jailed (I am not going to say, murdered), this would not have happened. Massive SD cards. They take 100's of photos a minute and you can swap them out in seconds. You get an iconic shot you can make a lot of money. It's actually rare that someone didn't get a better shot of it. No pun intended.

In a film day you wouldn't do multi-shot bursts every time and the ISO was shit. Now it's a SOP. It's a different world now.

You need high shutter speed first and foremost, and modern digital SLRs deliver in this department. They go up to 1/32K sec iirc. This is fast enough for a bullet. Then add to
it the capability to shoot bursts of up to 40 FPS, number of fotogs taking pictures of the same object simultaneously and probability of one of them catching that bullet in flight goes way up.

Yes, and there were many photographers there. All it took is 1 frame to catch it out of what, a dozen photographers just constantly shooting photos. It's not that far fetched, someone got lucky.

Really doesn't much matter. A guy died and others were shot. Someone was shooting in the general vicinity where Trump was standing. It's an impossible thing to stage. The shooter most likely was staged and allowed to shoot, but there's no marksman that can hit a moving head and just clip the ear. It was a flat out assassination attempt of a former president even without the photo.

Does it matter about the photo? He was clearly shot. A person died and others were wounded. Someone was shooting a gun at him. Can't debunk it. It couldn't be staged. SS people resigned over it. That's an admission of guilt.

Easy: they want to go as granular as possible to catch that weird expression on people's faces which occur for a millisecond and not noticeable neither on video nor with naked eye. Photogs love to do it to politicians. That Tim Waltz pic where he looks like a deer in headlights is not the face he'd hold even for seconds. Or Kirby looking like he just shat his pants. Whatever "gotcha" pic of a pol or a celebrity you see it's all done in "sports" mode with a multi-frame burst. As for grainy pics: yes, it goes up with ISO, but again, the shit got sooo much better than in the film photography days, it's fucking amazing. What used to be a great trade-off (and still seared into minds of people who started on film) is not as big a deal anymore.

Fine, but that can be done with 1/1000 shutter speeds and 40 fps. Setting the shutter to 1/32,000 is someone expecting a bullet.
