A former top Justice Department immigration official who was removed from her position by new DOJ leadership this week told ABC News that she did not receive any explanation for her removal.

Lauren Alder Reid was one of four top officials from the agency that operates the U.S. immigration courts who was removed from her post. She had been with the agency for more than 14 years.

"They did not give me any reason, other than not citing the 16 years of outstanding performance evaluation for lack of any discipline, administrative leave or reassignment in my entire career," Reid told ABC News.

MORE: What to know about Trump's immigration and border executive actions
The firings come as President Donald Trump has signed a flurry of immigration executive orders after vowing on the campaign trail to clamp down on immigration and undo Biden-era policies.

When asked if she's considering legal action, Reid, who was the assistant director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review's office of policy, said that she and the others are considering all options available to them.

"It's pretty hard to sit back and imagine that this could begin to happen, at will, to any employee throughout the government, especially when we're talking about public servants who have dedicated their careers to try to make our country the best," she said.

Welcome to the real world, coddled government apparatchik, where employment is always at will.

Their careers are based on bullshit and empty virtue signaling and righteousness but no real work, performance or results. You hear this from teacher's union types in California almost every time they open their mouths. They are professional goldbrickers.
8   Tenpoundbass   2025 Jan 24, 2:55pm

Trump needs to give us heads up when he removes these Scumbags from office. So we can be outside the Agency when the Sorry Useless Fucks are doing the walk of shame out of the doors, we all can erupt with thunderous applause. That way there should be no doubt why the Fuck they were terminated.

Those flights should be accompanied by a squadron of Wart Hogs, to clear the tarmac for the transport plane. Then open the door, and yell "tuck and roll!" as the criminals are tossed off the plane.

Why not just load them onto containers with parachutes and air drop them into countries that refuse.

What the Governors of the 26 States that want to help deport the illegals need to do is Cross employ their law enforcement and National Guard with ICE.

That way we don't have to put up with lawsuits like the following.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/iowa-immigration-law-remains-blocked-us-appeals-court-says-but-second-lawsuit-to-be-dismissed/ar-AA1xP77c

Hey, they don't let me have an account with 'X' so could someone pass this suggestion on ???
15   Ceffer   2025 Jan 24, 6:25pm

At 3PM in Santa Cruz you see the schools exgorging literally 90 percent immigrant children. Workers from Watsonville and the farms maintain Potemkin enrollment addresses in Santa Cruz to get their kids into the schools, which isn't a hard thing to do. If they haven't had five kids by the age of 25, they are cultural failures, doesn't matter if they can support them or not as long as they can Cloward-Piven the place to death.

The immigrants assure that the California Teacher's Union and building schools for Kommie indoctrination remain growth industries. They turned a communal garden over by Jade Park into a basically immigrant primary school site.

We need legitimate, legal immigration, but the free for all has to end. All of the 'legal' immigrants that I know who went through the process for their papers agree to that more than dazed and confused limousine liberals.

I don't understand how someone couldn't agree with this take. I like Costa Rica, I'm just gonna live their and use their services and not pay anything. What country on the planet is cool with that?

Legal immigration is fine, but I also think there should be an annual cap on incoming people that fluctuates with our birthrates. If all a sudden the 20-30 generation starts fucking like mad and having babies, we cut back on immigration. Or increase it depending on the data.

Also for adults some skills test. GED/High school level at minimum. I also think something as basic as saying the Pledge of Allegiance in english should be required. If Trump made english the official language somehow, that would be awesome. Could prevent some illegals from crossing.
17   FuckTheMainstreamMedia   2025 Jan 25, 2:57am

Oh how someone couldnt agree? It’s because asshole Dumbocrats say oh they do pay taxes. They pay payroll taxes.

My response…how can someone with a fraudulent SSN or being paid in cash be paying payroll taxes? And why are you dumb enough to believe that tripe?
18   clambo   2025 Jan 25, 8:23am

"Oh nigga please!" Stop with the nonsense that Mexicans and other third world illegals in the USA pay income tax.
They might be on the hook for social security and medicare tax, but they don't pay income tax.
They suck up medical and other benefits from US taxpayers.

The only tax they pay is sales tax. That's it.

They pay payroll taxes if they are using someone else's SSN. SSA takes the money and doesn't tell ICE about it. Open secret in DC.

It has kept SS and Medicare more solvent

@WallStreetApes
Donald Trump and Tom Homan have officially began ICE immigration raids in Los Angeles, California ‼️

Liberal Influencer is in shock

- Raids have already began, they will go 7 days a week
- They’ll begin in the early hours of the morning
- illegals have already been detained and held in Southern California ICE detention centers pending deportation
- From what they’ve already seen, ICE Officials are expecting the sites to fill up quickly
- The raids are currently to taking place in areas NOT affected by the LA fires (for now)
- Executive orders issued by Trump dramatically loosened restrictions on how immigration officers can conduct deportation raids
- Los Angeles naming themselves as a Sanctuary City now means nothing

This liberal influencer is directing people to the ACLU’s website to try and remain in our country illegally

The trucks are probably financed or even leased. Good luck on repo'ing those fuckers with the truck in Honduras or even Venezuela.

Watch in a year they try to sneak a bailout for the vehicle financing/car firms.

I think when financed or leased to illegals the vehicle usually comes with a device to track and remotely disable it. So there is a chance they will disable them 100 ft from
the border.
29   Tenpoundbass   2025 Jan 26, 10:49am

No they came here and got grants, the NGOs wanted so desperately wanted them to replace the American work force.
Construction workers are normally toxic males, patriotic straight males.
They got money to buy Trucks and tools, on top of the ATM cards topped off with 10 to 20K in pocket money.

Good fucking riddance!

Being a CA LA native, zero shits given how they get them all out of the US. The politicians that have enabled this invasion are traitors and should also be punished. Block by block they have taken over and third worlded the place. It's ridiculous it took half a century to finally do something.
32   clambo   2025 Jan 26, 11:29am

RC2006, how correct you are.
One of the few functions of the Federal Government is preserve the sovereignty of the Republic, which it has not done.
How deliberately is debatable, but finally someone is actually doing something about the invasion.

I had an argument with some bimbo in the gym in Juno Beach about the issue, her argument was "who'll pick the lettuce, who'll wash the floors, etc."

I told her "My mother picked strawberries in the summer, and was a chambermaid in Nantucket as a teenager."

The slave masters want them here; working Americans don't.

Regarding the video above about Los Angeles area ICE raids.

The “host” is yet another lying asshole who intentionally conflates “Immigrant” with “illegal immigrant”.

There is no…none whatsoever…legal immigrant that is being targeted. It is all people who illegally entered the US, overstayed their visa, or otherwise had their legal immigration status revoked.

The host of that video is a lying propagandist.

Deporting the 1 million illegal aliens in Los Angeles County would crush the rental market here, which is a very good thing. Crime would drop drastically, traffic would be reduced, wages would rise, and health care costs would enormously fall. Illegal aliens are 10% of the county’s population.

Next step needs to be ending federal government welfare. Review all social security disability cases, end app direct welfare. Force the “unemployable” to get jobs…any job. Arrest homeless and force them into treatment or cc corps/wpa style projects.

Imagine LA with 1 million fewer residents and none of the 65,000 estimated homeless.
