NoCoupForYou saysThere are 69 deaths in the US, about half of which were in the same nursing home. Almost nobody under 65 died, and I think the one or two people that did had severe chronic illnesses to begin with and qualified for AARP membership themselves.
Problem is that you do not understand exponential growth of pandemic. Here is a quiz- A single lily is the pond spawn a new lily every day and each spawned lily also gets to spawn a new lily everyday. It takes the 100 days to fill the whole pond. So how many days does it take to fill approximately 6-7% of the pond.
"What if facilities have to shut down if workers become sick?"
A black female I know in S. Florida is pissed at a 9pm curfew in Palm Beach and blamed “whites trying to tell us what to do!”
I laughed “I’m white and I don’t give a fuck what you do.”
socal2 saysI think Trump is painfully aware that the garbage Media, Democrats and Never-Trumpers are itching to make this into a Katrina and sink his presidency as they did with GWBush. We have already seen it by the usual suspects at Patnet.
You all do not get it. This is way way bigger than Katrina. It is a paradigm shift.

Its actually the yellow man. Once this passes, I hope someone in US administration will have the guts to resoundingly condemn the Chinese for eating wild animals and putting an end to this barbaric medieval practice. At a very least a UN resolution condemning and banning eating of wild animals. The Chinese have truly outdone themselves this time and yes they should be ashamed.
SCUM!, You're back! Is your mom still blowing dead hobos in dumpsters?

I think that in a few weeks you'll look back at what people wrote above ^^^ and wonder why you didn't see this whole thing coming. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is going to show just how fragile many members of society have become. We're supposed to "shelter in place" for 3 weeks. I think that by early April there will be an extension for a few more weeks. Meanwhile, unprepared people will suddenly realize just how truly unprepared they really are.
I just hope the water, electricity, and internet stay on. Then, it's just a matter of some morbidly obese people finally slimming down to merely obese. And maybe some feeble 80-year-olds finally making way for the younger generations.
Eh. Cancel the elections. Trump gets a do-over 4 years anyway due to the repeated frauds of the deep state.
I'm glad I have plenty of food and a lot of camping gear. (and water, yada yada yada)
My go-to farm-stand/market/greenhouse was actually quieter this Sunday. Plenty of everything except for my favorite wheat bread and vine-ripened tomatoes, so I pulled the M134 out of my coat and put 502 rounds into the ceiling and told management everyone was gonna die if their little fascist lock down didn't find a way to disgorge the goods.
There’s literally no actual shortage of food. All the major retailers and grocers are hiring people on the spot in order to be able to stock shelves.

The vast majority of morbidly-obese don't stock up on 500 bags of potato chips. They don't plan far in advance. In fact, not planning in advance is part of their overall problems in many cases and what, for example, leads them to rush out and binge on convience junk food.
If stores do close down — which is why people are buying carbohydrates and protein that store well — then they won't be eating. If they also ran with the crowd and stockpiled rice and beans, then they'll automatically be eating healthier foods. I also don't know anyone who is morbidly obese that cooks for themselves, and without the convenience aspect, they'll be eating much less.
