I hope this is my last chance to buy a home or be priced out forever.

If we raise taxes on everyone -- both state and federal -- this decade (like we need to if we don't raise corporate income taxes) RE prices will fall a lot.

But I doubt we're going to do that.

I don't know what's going to happen here.

Just wondering, do both comments have different meanings, or would a second grader understand how similar they are??

If you really believe those two mean the same thing, then why did you use the version that omits the word "you", and crops off the entire end of the sentence?

The meaning of that statement was that she wanted the SENATE to pass their version, so that the bill could be discussed without all the fake bullshit about death panels and other nonsense. She wasn't suggesting that the bill should be rammed though before she or anyone else read it.

Pasadena and Altadena mostly. The schools aren't too great, but we can't compete with the asian buyers in South Pasadena and San Marino. A shack on a tiny lot goes for 1.2 easy over there. Even where we're looking, these prices are for fixers. It'll take 250K to make them the way you want.

Yes, it's a really hard, because there is nothing for sale. (We're looking for at least a 1/4 acre, so already that's rare).

I watched prices barely budge down about 10-15% during the crash. San Marino was 5%. They just stayed there as interest rates came down, and then people were selling for just over the bubble price they payed in 2005-2006. If that fiasco didn't make housing budge, I doubt anything in the near future is going to do it.

You are demented. The imaginary line of this girl's arm should pass through the left eye of her sister, not the right eye! No one is deformed like that. The picture is a FAKE.

You are an idiot.

So what if it was Photoshopped? That proves nothing. I have Photoshopped dozens of my kids photos over the years. (One year for a Christmas card I copied the smile from one kid to one who was frowning.)

The photo you are showing could have been a composite of two photos in order to have all three girls looking cute. I have done this many, many times. It proves nothing. The arm may be off, but there is an arm touching a shirt that matches the arm of the girl in the background. A Photoshop expert may be able to pull that off but not miss the error you are highlighting.

This thread proves you are a HEARTLESS fool.

Perhaps you'd care to explain to me how any sort of error by a news agency constitutes proof of your ridiculous claims.

It was supposed to be the police storming the school. But it was a different school. There is no proof of the police storming the school where the attacks are alleged to take place. That is a proof. If they can't provide proof it didn't happen.

Why do you quote a sentence from a post that you then delete?

This was my full comment if it helps:

I don't know what you think that demonstrates. Perhaps you'd care to explain to me how any sort of error by a news agency constitutes proof of your ridiculous claims. You should be asking yourself the context of that footage. When was it filmed? Was it occurring at the same time as the events at Sandy Hook? Is it strange that the police might be checking other nearby schools? What do you think it was like in the newsroom at the time of these live events unfolding? Why is a simple editorial error of this type such an issue to you when there are tens of thousands of hours of actual footage of the event? Why does the former outweigh the latter in the mind of a conspiracist? And on and on it goes.

I note that you didn't address any of my questions.

I've seen the houses sell for more than we bid roughly 30 days later. I can only assume that it is true. If there were no other bidders, we surely would have gotten the houses, since we're offering over asking for the most part.

Case in point: Last week we offered $1.1 million on a home, when asking was $975K (they purposely underpriced it). The highest bidder offered just under $1.2 million, cash, no contingencies.

Do not forget us "Baby Boomers" who pay cash as we want to live as rent free as possible. We buy small 3br/3baths because we want to be able to sell or rent them if necessary, but intend to live in them as long as we can.

Rents are rising and we retiring Baby Boomers are putting down roots, often away from the high priced areas but within areas with services.

That's the hilarious part that bgamall won't admit, is that the
zionist/Israel-only lobby is very effective without having to resort to
inefficient and insane actions to fulfill their agendas.

Again that is not what they do. They do false flags, terrorism, and scare
people to get their way. That is how they operate. The lobby didn't get war in
the middle east until the neocons instituted 9/11. Wake up buddy.

Really? Fear and loathing of AIPAC by up-and-coming politicians wanting campaign money and/or support or not backing their opponet is proof of their power, along with the known and traceable campaign contributions.

If you REALLY were an anti-zionist like you claim, you would be harping about the real shit that's done to support and further agendas instead of the fantasy bullshit you inundate everybody with here. Why go hypothetical when you have real proof?

They never saw 600 kids dispersed from the building. So what happened to them. 600 kids is as big as a small high school. Yet no one left en masse from the school.

Why don't you describe to everyone here how the elementary school is approached? There also isn't any helicopter footage of the evacuation either, is there? I bet you think that is 'proof' of a hoax.

Oh, and when you visit Sandy Hook to do your research, perhaps you'd like to also drop in on these first responders and ask them why they participated in this supposed hoax.

thomaswong.1986 says

I understand that there is a bit of a conflict of interest. REA hopefully are considering that you may be a seller in a few years, or recommend them to others, so doing shady things wouldn't be in their best interest in the long run. I'm sure there are both kinds out there.

thomaswong.1986 says

We were using Redfin for awhile, because those agents just get a flat fee. They're helpful, but honestly, they don't jump on things when you ask them too. The REA I use now wants to make that commission. She moves very fast and within a couple of hours has all the info on a home, the seller's situation, etc. etc.

I find the commission thing to be helpful, because the REA is hungrier than the non-commissioned people.

I think affordability is crap in S. Cali... unless investors can maintain these prices, I feel like they ahve to come down sooner or later.
