Something else to consider. Elect Clinton now and good chance we get an evil and smart version of Trump in 4 years, in addition to a Republican congress. Elect Trupm and there's a chance for somebody decent next time.

If Hillary wins, regardless of margine, the Reps and Dems at all levels will be doing everything possible to make sure only an Establishment Shill ever has a chance at the Presidency again. No more pretense of democracy - too dangerous. All loopholes will be identified and closed, candidates will be subject to restrictions and limitations such as the length of their party membership and having to have held party positions prior to running for office.

They'll also be rigging local and state party rules for Congressional and Senate races, too. And probably trying to figure out some kind of Official Fact Checking service to be tendentious with anti-Establishment claims, but very liberal and embracing of Establishment Claims.

President Barack Obama does not believe FBI Director James Comey is attempting to influence this year's presidential vote, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Monday.

"The President doesn't believe that he's secretly strategizing to benefit one candidate or one political party," Earnest said. "He's in a tough spot, and he's the one who will be in a position to defend his actions in the face of significant criticism from a variety of legal experts, including individuals who served in senior Department of Justice positions in administrations led by presidents in both parties."

...

Amid outcry about Comey's decision, Earnest called the FBI director a man of "integrity and good character."

They're smarter than that. They know dictatorships don't work for long. They know too many people still believe the system sort of works. They rely on the appearance of democracy.
Instead they are likely to take a few steps in the other direction or give some welfare compensations to losers of globalization. Of course it will be mostly appearances, while they continue with their agenda in a stealthier way.

But the truth is that Hillary Clinton won't change in substance. And the establishment is made of people too busy pursuing purely personal interests to change. They probably all think that, individually, they don't matter so much and are just doing the same as everyone else. This means the country endures an other 4 yrs in the same direction, while problems unresolved for decades become steadily worse, and the country more becomes even more divided.

Some people will breath a sigh of relief if the Trump bullet is dodged. They shouldn't. Trump may well be just the start.

Yes. There are many people in the "second or third echelon of insiderhood" just waiting to be the Podestas, McConnells, Reids, Braziles, SE Cupps, Ben Shapiros, and RIck Wilsons of tomorrow. They paid a lot of dues, and they'll be damned if they don't get their just, deserved reward for their years of hard work.

"Just 4 more years" as you say.

Let us hope this is "only" the death throes of the 5th/6th Party System and not something worse.

76329   anonymous   2016 Oct 31, 2:26pm

The main blame goes to the Democratic Party, who nominated the weakest, most divisive, most tainted candidate they could have possibly nominated.

--------------

That any and every potential democrat voter isn't calling for the party to do away with the Superdelegates, is another major failure. That was their job. The only reason they exist is to save the party from low info voters picking the worst candidate.

Absolutely. It's Karma/Poetic Justice/the Power of Kek that her attempts to circumvent archiving and FOIA requests to protect her political career, may end up killing her political career.

To add to your #3 remark, this is the same person that the Clintons backed for office in NY several times. Bad Judgement!

High Energy observation.

This goes back to the "I gotta get mine, I paid my dues into the system" thing. A Bernie Admin wouldn't be so into corporate cash, recommenations for high salary posts at think tanks, revolving doors and Goldman Sachs positions, etc.

That's how it is done. It broke, we can't stop it now, so let's get control of it and then find that nothing bad was done, move along, nothing to see here...

Trump has had a long career of lyin' his ass off to con people out of their money. I'm sure it's second nature to him at this point.
Maybe affairs were his gateway drug.
Or maybe it was lying about his bad foot to get out of service.
Or maybe it was lying to black people who applied to be tenants.
Or maybe...
fuck it you get the picture.

Trump is a fascist divider. That is, sorry to say, worse than greed and corruption.

Murray Rothbard said you have the right to starve your children. Trump read 'starve" as "rape". Other than that, Trump is a Rothbard follower.

Turns out the FBI itself had a narrow warrant just for the interstate (the suspected underage was in NC) sex chat. But they could look at all the metadata, and based on that decided there was something there worth getting a warrant for. 650,000 emails.

How many times has the director of the FBI sent a letter to congress about an investigation being opened based on metadata being worth getting a warrant for?

Well, Lynch thought it was compelling enough to give Comey permission. Obama defended Comey's integrity today. So there you go.

This committee rode Comey's ass like a rodeo star on this investigation, keeping him and questioning him for hours over and over and over again, so informing them of a major change in status is hardly surprising. Note he resisted several calls to reopen the email investigation (as recently as September 28th) until these new Weiner emails showed up, and even then delayed until there was enough that ignoring it was not an option.

Hillary's getting a her final lesson in honesty. By embracing the leak and correctly pointing it he only takes advantage of the laws promulgated by lifelong Politicos like Hillary, he's now immune.

Obama's mandate was to represent the interests of the people who elected him. He betrayed them. If elected officials do not do what they are voted for, democracy is not working.

Unless you are an inbred low-information dipshit, Hillary's track record is not one of corruption.

Huma will be found impaled on a Weiner's deceased weener, in what will be deemed a dual-suicide.

Each will have a gunshot wound to the back of their head.

A suicide note will be left behind signed in blood.

Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" will be playing on their stereo on continuous loop when police arrive on scene.

Hillary's pubes will be found all over the carpet and furniture, but law enforcement will deem it coincidental.

76349   Ceffer   2016 Oct 31, 11:34pm

Anthony will commit suicide by shooting himself in the back with a long barrel shotgun.

Huma will be delivered bound and gagged in a cage to Goldman Sachs, to be used at their pleasure indefinitely, than discreetly disposed of.
