This doesn't mean he plans to give away the farm like Bush II and Obama did, pouring billions in foreign "aid" to The Pakistani government in a futile attempt to sway them to stop the Taliban. They were never going to do this because: a)stopping the Taliban was unpopular and b)the US kept giving them money to not stop the Taliban. Duh!

The United States has much to offer, but thanks to idealogues being in charge for decades, we haven't made nearly as many or as good of deals as we're possible. For example, we should be trading with the whole world, as much as possible while protecting our patents and production as much as possible.
Obama is the opposite of Trump. He will walk away from a deal because he doesn't like the politics of the other guy. That's like a car salesman turning away a cash customer because he's a mortician and that's distasteful to the salesman. That salesman would get fired the minute his boss learned about such antics.
