Somalia, really? It's not really much of a state at all.

Ancient Scotland and Modern Somalia were/are riven by Clan Rivalry rather unified than by nationalist sentiment. A Modern Scott (or Mongolian) sees themselves as a Scot first, and a MacGreggor second. When was the last time you heard of endemic clan violence in Scotland?
