While a high testing capacity is good, frenzied testing is bullshit. It doesn't solve anything. Once a cheap antibody test that can be done at home is widely available, everybody can pay a hundred bucks and find out if they have been exposed. We already know that close to 25% of the population has come in contact with sars-cov-2. So what's the point of testing all those 25% after the fact when the tests are hardly reliable yet. They may come back negative if the person was asymptomatic and/or has recovered, only antibody tests will show previous exposure.
