That shooting was just wrong. It is possible, even if very unlikely, to transmit the Wuhan virus indoors by coughing, so there is some small justification for wearing a mask indoors in a public building.

How well did the native Americans of central and south Americas fare after centuries of lock-down (by the Atlantic Ocean) when the Spaniards showed up? The death rate was 90+% after the long lock-down.

Human population can only develop resistance to highly mutative RNA-viruses like Corona-virus by frequent exposure at small doses. When the small new dose is not too different from what your immune system already recognizes and has antibody for, then you can fight it off and have your immune system upgraded to recognize and fight off the new variation the next time more quickly (i.e. rejecting it and future mutations similar to it outright without getting sick).

Locking down the society while not locking down the hospitals lead to people not getting exposure to the new mutations until they get ill and have to go to hospital (for other reasons) then getting exposed to large doses of viruses that have mutated significantly since their last update. That would make them extremely vulnerable to major illness.

Just like Cuomo's insistence on nursing homes accepting CV-positive patients, Fauci's lock-down policy was outright homicide! The only issue left to debate is deliberate homicide vs. negligent homicide.
