Blacks are incarcerated at 5x the rate of whites. Assuming all races have equal chance of coming into contact with police due their criminal behavior where they might be shot, I would expect the police shooting rate of blacks would be 5x higher then whites.

The fact that it’s only 2x indicates there’s some other factor. One could be police racism... against whites.

First this report leaves out fatal violent crimes. Blacks are overrepresented in crime across the board but it gets more skewed as the crime gets more violent. So leaving out murder is buries the lead a little.

Second, these numbers seem to use "non reported" estimates, allowing for god only knows what type of modeling to assume statistics.

Third, blacks are still committing 6 times as many black on white crimes as white on black in this study. That chart literally buries the lead by zooming out and using % of total white (and black) population victimized by the other. The actual stats also listed are 6 times as many black on white crime of this category.

Forth, even these stats show black commit more of the deadly weopon type of attacks...begging the question of what is included in these stats.

Actual murder and aggrivated assault interracial crime from the fbi are more clear. These stats and their representation appear to be cherry picked to hide the obvious black crime stats.

Still though, its nice that the stats have dropped over the years which perhaps is something we should remind the black lives matter protesters.

Because I lean right doesn't mean I agree with 10# all the time. I don't want to see anyone die from this virus, left, right or center. Death is bad. Statistically speaking though, deaths are going down at a rapid pace, even in the early open states. New case testing results lag with real time for sure. Most death cases were already tested and known to have had the virus.

In another thread I think the Utah stats showed that maybe 30% died outside of a hospital setting there. You'd think Covid would be the first thing they test for upon admitting someone. So those test results are likely known upon death in the hospitalization cases. So it's not nearly as much of a lagging indicator as new cases.

Ultimately, if new cases jumped 100M overnight and deaths are going down, who cares? Pandemic are about people actually dying, not just getting the virus and living. It appears this virus attacked or attacks our weakest. Again, death is bad, but at some point you've lived a full life or made very poor health decisions. That's not reason to shut our country down.
