The remaining 2500+ are declining and the city is scheduled to fire them on an 11-2 vote by the city council(Joe Buscaino, a former officer now city council member representing San Pedro and Wilmington voted no as did John Lee representing the north SFV).

I suspect something will give. I can’t imagine the lunacy of terminating a few hundred officers let alone 2500, but the idiots that are on the LA city Council and it’s corrupt mayor aren’t exactly rocket scientists.
