Maybe the next time a former community organizer raised in a creepy church runs for president, the media will work a little harder to dig into his real agenda.
Hell they found him and created him. Don't your breath.
To me I don't go by party.
In terms of NSA, Obama is much worse than Bush. not only did he lie and campaign against it, he also has used the espionage act more than all other presidents combined.
Now in terms of jobs in my industry, Obama is better. He has made getting a H1B and L1 visa exceedingly difficult. I think this IT mini boom we are having will be very different with a republican in office. Even in the recent immigration bill, it is republicans who are trying to increase the H1B quota to 350k -I think it is lower now. The funny thing is that if you talk to a lot of H1B or other Indians, most don't want the increase-because they know what a flood of people willing to work for peanuts will do to the industry. So there Obama wins hands down. Though in other industries, he has signed a lot of free trade deals and has adopted the republican mantra of asking low skilled workers to just get an education and change careers-like they are not offshoring skilled jobs!!
Now as a man, I loathe democrats. My mom's side of the family is all strong women. My great grandmother was a widow early on and raised her kids by herself and thrived very well. My grandma was extremely indepenent and so is my mom and aunts. I am used to strong women standing up for themselves and being independent and having drive and self-respect-probably why I picked my fiance. What I can't believe is in this day and age -obscene child support and alimony . Hey I got drunk and slept with someone one night and he is rich , so now I need 50k a month. Or that woman who married Tiger Woods for a few years and got 100 million-WTF?? What message is that sending-that women are flimsy critters, with no skills and can't do anything on your own. Being equal means you rise and you fall and you stand back again-on your own or from help of friends and family-not from the govt mandating money from the man, under threat of jail. While I may not like Sarah palin's policies-she is a smart woman who used up her sudden turn of fame and built a small empire for herself. She is not sititng there and asking money from her husband or the govt-in fact he is living off her. Unfortuantely for me, the repubs do not embrace this reality and are fighting abortion and birth control and gays-it is like come in to the enxt century already-us men have other issues and we need a party for us.
Sometimes I think repubs and dems engage in these culture wars on purpose. They know it will get the electorate to stop thinking and isntead splinter them and coem back to the fold. Once elected, they don't have to pass anything-just bring it up next election. Like Obama, he didn't mention birth control the first three years in office-just the last year just before the election-how convenient.
Posting something like this seems more like a rather transparent admittance that those making such assertions actually believed Bush was a worse President to start with.
Like I mentioned before, the fact that Obama doesn't sound like a 10 year old speaking at the podium is reason enough to see that Bush was about 500% worse.
But no matter. Those days are over. The GOP is losing relevancy and the days of electing good ole' boys are going bye-bye.

It's 65K now.
It is 65 k now. But the republicans in the senate insisted that the H1B quota be increased to 350k in return for support of the immigration bill-I think it was orrin Hatch of Utah. But I read somewhere that they had lowered it down to 110k-not sure what the recent status is. It is not law yet-but part of the immigration bill.
You know what's stupid about this poll? Bush isn't the President. Who gives a damn about his current popularity. The only real direct comparison would be comparing polls taken while Bush was actually in office, where at the end he had a single-digit approval rating.
You know what's stupid about this poll?
Polls only count when they favor Democrats, I see how that works...

Democrats have a credibility problem Here is Obama from 2007. We all know what he did after that.

Thats actually of little relevance. I can't help but note that many detractors used George Bush's manner of speech as a sign of marginal intelligence, when in fact there is little connection between the two. And I'll also note that there are tremendous public speakers with marginal or subpar intelligence, or even those that have significant mental illness.

Obama only hums the tune, the lyrics come from his corporate masters.

Please explain how polling two totally different sets of circumstances- in this case comparing a non-active president and a active president is at all relevant. It wouldn't matter whether this were between a democrat, republican, or anyone else. Polls are only useful when comparing like with like, and that is not the situation here.
Obama only hums the tune, the lyrics come from his corporate masters.
You clearly didn't read the story. The speech he was about to give was concerning details over the NSA surveillance. What do you expect him to do? Make shit up? Besides, he took it in good stride and even made a joke about it.
Polls are a great tool. If the media can harp on these meaningless polls long enough. Then people who have avoided politics for the last four years, can let the polls do their thinking for them.
Don't kid your self. Do you really think 85% of the people who voted for Obama, put any thought into why they were actually voting for him. Or were they just desperate to "be on the side of history" based on a POLL?

Well, a number of cohesive laundry lists of GW's failures were already made. My own addition was simply more reinforcement to what was already mentioned. So collectively add that up and ta-da. formulation of one of the worst presidencies in US history.
Polls are a great tool.
I agree. But would you use a screwdriver to hammer a nail? Do you understand what I just said? Polling two unrelated things are not meaningful. BUSH IS NOT THE CURRENT PRESIDENT.CaptainShuddup says

Of course they did. Don't try to belittle people who didn't want to vote your way. Like I've said before the GOP has an extreme demographics problem on their hands these days. Clearly more Americans see the Democratic party as more pertinent to their interests. If the GOP actually paid attention to the real issues, then perhaps more people would vote for them. People vote for those who are most representative of their concerns and positions on issues.

GW used a Teleprompter as well and still sounded like a 10 year old
Yes, and another non-story, which fails to make a point.
You were the one who brought up Obama's public speaking skills.
You were the one who brought up Obama's public speaking skills.
Yup. Because they are better than GW's.
CaptainShuddup says
But Bush gave press conferences and delivered yearly budgets.
So? What is your point?
People are far more likely to dislike someone when they're making decisions that impact their life. What GW does now is pretty much irrelevant. I bet Clinton's favorability ratings are much higher than when he was president as well.
I think Jimmy Carter is a great guy and like him very much. If you asked me when he was president I would have said he was shitty.

I still don't see GWB as favorable. But I do think Clinton is much more popular now, not just because he was popular during his times. Everyone after has been way worse. He wins the comparison match big time.
I still don't see GWB as favorable.
Neither do I, but I don't dislike him as much as I did when he was president. Mostly because he doesn't matter anymore. It's not worth the effort to hate the guy.

I never hated the guy either, just thought he was really really incompetent.
I also think that the poll showing Bush being more popular says more about Obamas scandals and screw ups than it does about Bush. Like you said, Bush isn't relevant anymore...

It's NOT what you say, it's when you say it that counts.
That doesn't even make sense.

Sure it does, Obama says a lot, just never on record where it counts. Like in front of the press corp. Johnny Blowjob doesn't have the wherewithal to fact check or do any meaningful retort when he's lied to, on one of Obama's monologue comedy road show.
Hey idiots,
Bush is not more popular than Obama. Bush had lower approval than Obama in his second term. All other past presidents are above 60% approval, while Bush is only at 49%. That's actually pretty dismal.

Good summary re your claims about Bush sounding like 10yo. ;)
Out of context. It was meant to indicate I can make crap up too and claim it as fact.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!
Fascinating turn of events. I read the comments in the huffpost and looks like the extreme left is twisting itself into a pretzel trying to make Snowden look like a criminal/traitor.
I can just imagine their reactions, if Bush or a republican were President during these events. Fascinating psychology.

On pulling stuff out of your ass and calling it the truth
No, and its embarrassing that I have to actually explain this. Your previous comment was something along the lines of what a fabulous president GW was, at which point I responded with a sarcastic reply, insomuch- claiming GW was a great president is tantamount to claiming that pink elephants can fly.
I can just imagine their reactions, if Bush or a republican were President during these events. Fascinating psychology.
Then of course you seem to be conveniently forgetting that representatives from both parties are on both sides of the fence on this issue and hence its not exactly a strictly partisan event anyway.

Come on fess up! It's common knowledge that if you speak out against Obama and dislike his policy then you are big bubble blowing Bush loving sissy. You're a Duck hunting Oil man ADMIT IT!!!

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/06/11/Bush-More-Popular-Than-Obama
In a Gallup tracking poll released Tuesday, former-President George W. Bush currently stands with a favorability rating of 49%, compared to 46% who see the 43rd president unfavorably. Meanwhile, another Gallup poll shows President Obama with only a 47% approval rating, with 44% disapproving.
If you think about it, this makes perfect sense.
After all, Obama fooled everyone when he ran as the anti-Bush in 2008.
Everyone thought Obama meant he would be less hawkish than his predecessor. But as we have seen, Obama apparently has no problem killing American citizens via remote control with drones or greatly expanding upon Bush's surveillance state. This, even though Obama told us he had pretty much won the War on Terror.
Therefore, it appears that what Obama meant by promising to be the anti-Bush is that, unlike George W. Bush, Obama would not get us out of a recession and into many years of economic prosperity. There would also be successful terror attacks on American soil during Obama's watch and a litany of scandals unseen in almost a half-century.
Maybe the next time a former community organizer raised in a creepy church runs for president, the media will work a little harder to dig into his real agenda.
