Umair Haque also penned an article about how Sharia Law has stabilized the middle east and why the west should adopt certain precepts from Islam.

Fuck this article and fuck that guy. #MAGA

Yeah fuck arguments and stuff!! He looked at some beliefs within Islam so he's literally Osama Bin Laden.

I'm trying to figure out why the OP didn't blame all that on Trump?
5   Shaman   2018 Jan 30, 7:23pm

Now to focus on the very real and grieving parents of Otto Warmbier whom the Leftist media derided as a “frat bro” who got what he deserved for having white privilege.
Loving this speech!
It’s just one hit after another on the framework of Leftist thought!

We’re Underestimating American Collapse. The Strange New Pathologies of the World’s First Rich Failed State

What failed State are you talking about? We are:
The wealthiest State.
Most innovative State.
Among the most free of all states.
The #1 destination of all the world's states.

Very silly article. Not even worth opening.

Among the most free of all states

How sad is that?
We used to be The Land of the Free
Now you have to stretch to claim “among the most free of all states”

There is a reason why we are the number 1 destination for those who hope to emigrate from their own countries.
Freedom
Opportunity
Prosperity

Even those who think we are collapsing refuse to leave. Can you or anyone tell me why?

You didn’t really answer my question why you downgraded America from The Land of the Free to “among the most free of all states”, but it’s ok, i know why.

About one-in-seven people living in the United States (14%) were born in other countries, a near-historic record. By way of comparison, about one-in-five people in Canada (22%) are foreign born. In Australia, it’s nearly three-in-ten people (28%). And in some Persian Gulf countries such as Qatar (75%) and United Arab Emirates (88%), the great majority of their resident populations are immigrants, many who have been actively recruited as foreign labor.

We’re headed to Canada in February to check out Housing in the Niagara area, and Toronto. And just holiday in Ontario and maybe extend the stay up to Quebec. Housing has been getting better in Ontario lately. Hoping the dollar bounces up here too, geez Trump, don’t destroy the dollar until i can unload. I mean, trashing the currency for some easy gains on equities is one thing, but hold off a lil bit please.

It should be obvious.
America is the land of the free, but not the only one.

In the Gulf countries they are not immigrants. They are workers who can never be citizens, and must leave when the time comes.
Gosh Errc, if you can't be honest to make a point for your side, you must be on the wrong side.

Just one of you admits to not even clicking the link of the OP.

Not one point or counterpoint being raised here in blah blah blah land.

junk — that America has fed upon for too long.

The downfall was foreseen when America handed healthcare over to the equities speculation, savings were converted from a low yield to an "at risk" proposition and guaranteed payment pensions were fazed out to multiple risk array of 401k and IRA investments with small employer contribution.

Personal ties really are unaffordable luxuries. Successful neighborhoods are extremely isolated even from each other. The myth of American exceptionalism is another enabler of the universal dismissal.

Speaking of leaving: Flood and tornado victims don't seem to be leaving their areas. They claim they cannot afford to leave. Why?

This OP is not a part of the alt-right cannon, so shall we all make snarky comment on the source, SJWs, Obama and Hillary?

And how did America get ignorant compared to the rest of the developed world? Was it because we believe that truth is a partisan outrage or fear that turns off critical thinking?

The Virgin Mary immaculately concieved the baby jesus, the rest is history, albeit a history filled with priests touching little boys penises.

All is forgiven if you accept Jesus into your heart, and all is well if done in the name of the Lord Republicans are just his vehicle. Now don’t question any of this, you hear? Amen

school
Another thing involving schools is the repeated incidence of teachers caught up in sexual misconduct with their students. Just last week a 37 year old male student was arrested for having contact with a 13 year old girl in one of his classes and you can be pretty sure it wasn't the first time.

Both these things, the school stuff and AIDS, comes from people not being able to control their impuses. Seems like today many teachers come from the bottom of their classes which is a discredit to those who are doing a good job. "Special needs" has become another big scam as more and more students are placed into that category and mainstreamed into regular classes because the school gets more money. This inevitably means the curriculum is dumbed down to accommodate the lowest common denominator.

I think it is natural that some people would focus on the material comfort and the wealth of gadgets brought on by capitalism in the US, while others will focus on the break down of social bonds, the rampant isolation and loneliness. But I think even talking of social bonds masks the greater issue that the system simply doesn’t provide material wealth any more for most of its participants. The case of nomadic retirees illustrates that. Housing is becoming a luxury. Healthcare already is, for many people.
For half or more of people, you get the price of shitty social dislocation but very little of the advantages modernity was supposed to bring. These 2 together are a sign of a breakdown and better hope some of this reverses.

In a way we are becoming like cells in a multicellular organism. We initially evolved to be optimal as individuals in an environment. But then we found that working together produces something more optimal than independent units. We worked in tribes, then countries, then global society. We became specialized, and incapable of surviving alone. Society on the other hand became a being into itself, and started evolving on its own accord, but while it must still satisfy our basic needs, the goal of its evolution is no longer our animal, simply human satisfaction. It got away from us. Just like Internet AI, optimizing for clicks already did. Soon we will spend our free time plugged into virtual reality, with artificial food and opioids injected directly into our veins, and the rest of our time working as hard as we can just to keep the “society" going. The Matrix prophecy will be fulfilled. On the outside, freedom fighters will see us as no longer human and fight that system, but we’ll call them terrorists, and they will face the extreme efficiency of the society’s immune system as we work to destroy them. Like our immune system crushes bacteria.

Because there are very few specifics in the article. In the one factual specific the author does cite...the number of mass shootings...the author makes a vague assertion that its a "social pathology of collapse". How do you counter a vague statement based on non fact based assertions stated as fact?

The article reads fully as someone with a severe case of TDS. Its the type of article a leftist wants to cite as "makes you think". To me its just proof that despite leftists crying that conservatives are emotional thinkers, its actually the direct opposite.

TDS is fashionable quip from alt-right, a dismissal which deflects criticism away from the poor character and illegal dealings of the president and on to some person who raises discussion outside the daily budget of talking points prescribed by GOP.

Tribal high five at patrick.net when your dismissal is TDS.

Trump's dreamworld never got to me because I can't stop looking at his past, and his vainglorious present. We'll see what Mueller says in the real world. Let's see you dismiss that.

You posted critically of certain Posters for not countering a vague article.

Article is pointed out as non specific and this is your response?

Now that's funny. All the worlds states that are war torn, poverty and crime stricken, shitholes. Immigration from first wold countries to the US has been declining since the 60's. As trump said we need more people like the Norwegians. Except that last year 10k Americans immigrated to Norway and 400 Norwegians immigrated to America. The PM of Norway is still laughing about that. The only first world country in the top 25 countries by number of immigrants to the US is Canada.

We really need a merit based immigration system. Look at history. We took in all those fucking micks/wops and what we got out of it was the great depression.
