That's the thing that really pisses me off with these people. They are always all inked up but so conscious of what they put into their body. They all smoke weed too (not that I'm against that but just have a set of values consistent with each other).
As far as homeopathic shit goes....all the females at my workplace run workshops where they claim if you spray lavender oil on god knows what....it cures everything! Oh you have allergies...try lavender oil. Oh you are depressed...try lavender oil. Oh you have a fever? Try lavender oil. Oh you have Wuhan Flu? Here...spray the lavender oil in your throat. I'm sure Chris Cuomo fucking reeks of lavender oil right now.
Turkey has made significant progress in treating coronavirus patients in the early stages of the disease with the controversial malaria drug hydroxychloroquine, Turkish officials have said. ...
“Many countries prescribe this drug to intubated patients,” Koca said. “However, our science board suggested that the drug is really beneficial in the early stages to prevent the spread of the virus in the body.”
The health minister reminded viewers that one of the fundamental features of the disease was lung infection.
“We believe beginning early treatment [with this drug] played a big role in reducing the rate of lung infection among the patients,” he said. ...
Many doctors argue that the drug has not been tested enough yet to be used to treat coronavirus patients.
However, earlier this month, doctors in China reported that hydroxychloroquine had helped to speed up the recovery of some patients who had mild symptoms.
Dramatic fall in pneumonia rates
The Turkish official told MEE that the drug was effective against pneumonia, which is seen as among the leading causes of death for coronavirus patients.
Most of the patients taken to intensive care or who are put on ventilators are there because they have developed pneumonia.
“The minister, instead of underlying the importance of the drug itself, has pointed out the benefit of using the drug in the early stages, before the patient becomes severely ill,” the official said.
Statistics released by the Turkish health ministry on Tuesday showed that since beginning the treatment, new cases of lung disease among coronavirus patients have greatly decreased.
On 24 March, 60 percent of coronavirus cases registered were patients with pneumonia, while on 6 April that had fallen to 19.5 percent.

The malaria drug hydroxychloroquine helped to speed the recovery of a small number of patients who were mildly ill from the coronavirus, doctors in China reported this week.
Cough, fever and pneumonia went away faster, and the disease seemed less likely to turn severe in people who received hydroxychloroquine than in a comparison group not given the drug. The authors of the report said that the medication was promising, but that more research was needed to clarify how it might work in treating coronavirus disease and to determine the best way to use it.
“It’s going to send a ripple of excitement out through the treating community,” said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University.
The study was small and limited to patients who were mildly or moderately ill, not severe cases. Like many reports about the coronavirus, it was posted at medRxiv, an online server for medical articles, before undergoing peer review by other researchers.
But the findings strongly support earlier studies suggesting a role for the drug, Dr. Schaffner said.
I'd doubt most 50 year olds could even set up a domain name and wordpress themed site without having to hire someone.
. Term limits and old age limits would be a massive step in the right direction.

Question: Why would the PM of Israel thank India for chloroquine shipments if it were useless?

Because it's a part of one of the most promising experimental stacks of medications doctors are experimenting with throwing at this very frightening virus.
:
"It’s not “very frightening”, or at least ought not be."
Perhaps not if you're only thinking of yourself, and you're not old. That's not what I meant.

Can't the old think for themselves and just stay home? And the young avoid them? Is this really all that complicated? #NO
We have plenty of people around the world who have had to be admitted into hospitals, ICU’s, put on ventilators and died. We have a lot of information about the risk factors associated with age and underlying conditions. If a drug is anything more than just slightly effective, all we have to do is statistically compare the outcomes of people getting the drug to the outcomes we have seen based on age and underlying conditions.
That is what front line doctors are doing and they are reporting that there is clear and, sometimes, profound clinical improvement in many, many patients, especially when this combination of medicines is administered earlier rather than later. Some of these are highly respected, practicing infectious disease experts. And we’ve had decades of experience in prescribing these drugs so there is no uncertainty as to their safety.

We know that at very best this drug will have a very mild effect on changing the course of the disease, if it has any effect at all. That's what the data shows so far. And not without adverse consequence. It's irresponsible to promote this drug at this time. Quack drug.
For those that believe this drug or drug combo is a "cure" I would suggest looking into how anti-viral drugs work. There is a tiny tiny chance this drug or drug combo will prove to be an anti-viral. that would be a huge stroke of dumb luck. I would bet anyone $1000 right now that if it has any affect on covid-19 patients its not curative or in any way acts as a true anti-viral.
That's not the point, it alleviates the severe effects of the virus,

Did you read my full post? Doesn't seem like it as you are repeating basically what I said like I didnt say it.
But this drug is not just being promoted as symptom relieving drug, but as a cure and a preventative, my point is that it is very very unlikely to be either.
Look at the diseases it is approved to be used for, Malaria (a parasite) and Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus (auto-imune).
