I take it the that the impeachment isn't going well.

Right wing media says that.

Other media says totally different.

It seems the answer to that is DRASTICALLY partisan.

Did you watch the entire thing? If not, your comments are worthless. Not sure why I did it, but watched the entire thing live. If you watched that thinking impeachment was imminent, there are facilities available. It was an unmitigated disaster. Los Angels Times said the same. Clearly the average American, let alone Patnet user watched the bull shit highlights from their respective "sources." Take the time and watch the whole thing.

The democrat's house was on fire and they called an arsonist to put the fire out, lol!

The returns will be fertile ground for "misinterpretations" by the fake-news media. I really don't blame Trump; there's nothing at all beneficial to him to be gained. And, when you declare 8-figure and 9-figure write-offs every year, it's not like the IRS just tosses the return into the dustbin. I'm sure that his returns are scrutinized rigorously by both Trump's accountants and the IRS.

Even if there are mistakes in the return, Trump is likely to be able to legitimately claim he had no idea and was not really responsible.

The exact same people who claim that Trump's 4 bankrupt entities are somehow a black mark against his skill or character or something will be fake-fainting over each write-off. Business real-estate is full of esoteric loopholes that can certainly be put in a bad light, even if Trump is just playing by the rules.

The Court might rule Congress needs to pass a law saying the President has to. It will then be argued if the President has to, then Congress has to.

For sure under oath ask him, because otherwise he just a liar doing what he does every day, telling lies. Why not let people with first hand knowledge testify? I think you all know why. Do you honestly believe he didn't withhold aid to get the Ukranians to investigate Biden? It's a pretty simple question and it's exactly what Trump would do, right?

Totally agree, but it's not that Trump is worried that they will show he is a not charitable or that he pays little in taxes because he manipulates the system. He fears and knows what they will show, that is he isnt nearly as rich or as great a businessman he has portrayed himself. His whole identity will be shown to be a fiction and a sham.

The only thing I can see you being correct on is his actual income shown on taxes being "low." As a tax payer, who the fuck cares? He's donating his annual Presidential salary and not stuffing it in his pockets like 99% do in Congress and SCOTUS. I don't know, call me a dip shit, but someone turning down (donating) $1.6M over 4 years or so must be pretty poor, right? Hopefully he's donating it to a reputable charity, but that's another topic. Either way, it's almost for sure you won't donate $1.6M to charity in your entire life, so I guess hate the guy for that???

You also understand the taxes are going to shed light on absolutely nothing? He'd be in jail if he evaded tax law. Outside of that, you're going to understand very little about his wealth and income. The perks of getting large sums of money via large loans, is you get to use that money for business purposes in furtherance of the project it was loaned for. Hell you don't even have to do that depending on the loan agreement. Mind you this is ALL tax free money. You could do the same tomorrow and you would if you have the business sense. Instead people just complain that he's the pussy grabber in chief and are jealous of someone with more money. It's the American way in 2019 I guess.

I'm still flabbergasted anyone still gives a flip about the tax returns. It's kind of moronic. With all these leaks, don't you think there would be some "whistleblower" in the IRS that could take a peek at his taxes? If there was something there, it would have already happened and been leaked.

Note also that Trump is donating his salary to various government agencies, not charities, so likely not tax deductible. In fact, it is like he is volunteering his whole Presidential paycheck as a tax. Someone like the Clinton's, who "donated " to their own charity, really just paid themselves and took a tax deduction. That, along with all the people donating used clothing and other trash to Goodwill type charities for an overvalued deduction, is the reason charitable deductions should not be allowed.

Could it be that it's because Trump is fighting tooth and nail not to release them? It's called adverse inference. In other words what are you hiding Mr. Transparent? And let's not forget during the campaign he said he would release them not fight all the way to the Supreme Court. to keep them hidden.

Is it required? If a court makes a ruling, the IRS can just release them to the party trying to get them. This isn't complicated. I don't want anyone to see my tax returns, it's my private business and I have nothing to hide. So there's that. Again, not complicated.

See above. But that is simply not true. 1 or 2 years not much. But eight years with all the back up info would give a pretty clear overview of his financial situation.

There are different cases being litigated. There is a law that does require the IRS to make available to the House Ways and Means committee any tax return. Trump is disputing this only for himself, not in general.

And it gives no indication of the current situation or future situation of his finances. You're grasping at straws. He's an ego maniac. You were originally correct that it likely shows he doesn't make as much money as he says. What does that do to you? How does that influence the American taxpayer? Do you think Obama or Bush were 100% honest? This idea that you're being given truth on anything in government is hysterical.

And his financial situation id nobody's business but Trump's and his accountants. A more honest policy would be to examine the finances of politicians who have made serious money only after having been elected. And not just tax returns, since career politicians plan there tax strategy as to make the tax returns innocuous, so they can volunteer public viewing.

I don't see what the big deal about these tax returns is. It is kinda similar to Obummer not releasing his Harvard transcripts - in both cases, hyperpartisan hacks are hyperventilating.
Would be better if both of them release this info, but if not it is OK with me.

He donated way more to D's:
Epstein has donated $184,276 to politicians on both sides of the aisle, including Chuck Schumer, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Bob Dole since 1990, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

However, there is also this:

Alexander Acosta, worked together with Epstein’s high-powered legal team to give him and an undisclosed number of other people federal immunity for crimes committed against underage girls. And Acosta was trump's labor secretary.

I am asking if there are any reports of prominent Republicans socializing with him or attending his rape island.

We have lots of examples of Democrats and Hollywood types hanging out with Epstein. The only thing I have seen connecting to Republicans is a 20 year old video of a Trump party with Epstein lurking around.

After Epstein was convicted and served time from his 2008 conviction, the following people were hanging out with him at his house for a dinner party: Prince Andrew, Woody Allen, Katie Couric, Charlie Rose, Chelsea Handler, George Stephanopoulos.

Democrat Senators like George Mitchell and Bill Richardson have been accused of going to his island. And of course we have all the trips Bill Clinton took with him.

Really, so a man who can influence policy and government contracts worth billions of tax payer money and the tax payers dont have a right to know if maybe he is conflicted in his decision making? It's perfectly ok for Trump to practice malfeasance at will. Cause why, he's already rich? But is he?
