Not surprising in this case. Hillary was next in line. The Republicans do the same thing. Their establishment was behind Jeb Bush, but Trump took him out first. Both parties have "in" candidates that have been promised advantages for favors rendered in the past. The Clintons and the Bushes have garnered many such favors and are owed by many cronies.

True, but in fairness, the Republicans had a backup plan whereas the Democrat Elite stuck themselves with Hillary and no backup, since they loathed Bernie and thought he was a joke candidate, a gadfly who would disappear by Super Tuesday at the latest.

For the GOPe, Jeb was the preferred candidate, with Rubio and Kasich as backups. They had Cruz as a sop to Social Conservatives, and eventually the plan was for all of them to unite around Jeb, or themselves if Jeb failed to gain traction. Problem was they were trying to discount the core working class evangelical base that first became the Tea Party then the Early Trump Adopters.

That's why the GOP Establishment switched backing in the order they did. You'll also notice that all 4 of their candidates in ranked order were pro-unlimited immigration and pro-unlimted free trade.

It's also why "Stupid Trump" took out Jeb! first. Nobody understood why he was pummeling Jeb! so hard when Jeb's numbers sucked from the very beginning. Then Kasich, then Rubio, then Cruz.

Here's a Wikileaks email that should have attracted mucho attention:

https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/5690

It's from last fall when the possibility of Biden putting his hat in the ring (as Hillary was underwhelming even back then) was being floated around.

Klain was Gore's Vice Presidential Chief of Staff and later Biden's Vice Presidential Chief of Staff. He was also around during all the Chad fighting in Florida. He worked with Biden as a staffer/speechwriter all the way back in 1988, so there's a long history between the two men.

He made himself an unperson with Biden, how I don't know. Possibly threatening to leak some inside information on Biden that might hurt his career permanently if he ran against Hillary?

#UnsolvedMysteriesOf2016

(The other one being, I hope Bernie wasn't a Schmuck and squeezed some concessions the way Shillary did Obama?)

1. Do you believe that the democratic politicians have the interests of ordinary people ahead of the interests of their paymasters? Their paymasters are the people and corporations who fund their campaigns and make them rich after they leave office.

I can prove a Citigroup Executive had massive input in Obama's cabinet before he even took office. Podesta was co-chair of Obama's Transition Committee.

And, as reality turned out, the list was mighty "prophetic".

Amazing how companies in need (and received) of massive bailouts for 'frothy' investment decisions are picking the nations top economic (and other) advisers. Failing upwards, nothing achieves like failure.

Today Froman is negotiating the TPP, which is of course in everybody's interests.

Notice the MSM doesn't discuss this story much, which in of itself deserves at least a three-news cycle level of coverage. "Old News" = "Covering Corruption's Ass"

Be sure to check attachments. The secure on is "change" - how cynical.

I thought the Democrats were the party of working people?

And if this is what Obama did, imagine what a Hillary Clinton administration will do. Slap the democrats hard in the face, or they won't learn their lesson. There's no point in voting for the Democrats if they pick cabinet officers of the same kind that a Country Club GOP candidate like Jeb! would.

noises subside as fund runs out...same with BLM.

76577   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Nov 5, 9:52am

Yep, some German CDU Pol said the same thing a few weeks ago when AfD won some representation. As did Remoaners.

It's amazing that the core of two parties utterly ignores the concerns of about 2/3 of the electorate on immigration and free trade and other key issues and then complains about democracy.

"Our propaganda is failing to convince people over their lived experiences. The People suck! Let's elect a new electorate."

76578   zzyzzx   2016 Nov 5, 11:05am

Be honest now Gary. Tell us why you are really scared. It's because the first day of a Trump Presidency means you immediately become obsolete. Your life's work as a Hillary schill and sycophant covering up her lies and illegal activity will have ended up in complete failure. Without the establishment, who needs your pen to help deceive the masses, your entire world falls apart.

76579   lostand confused   2016 Nov 5, 11:31am

It's funny. The double standards of the left.

They say something, it's ok. The right says it, it becomes a vast right wing conspiracy.

I really do dislike the Clintons. I don't remember it ever being this bad till they got involved.

76582   Gary Anderson   2016 Nov 5, 4:16pm

But, Ironman, it is rigged against working men and women because of economics. First there is too much money at the top and too much speculation on real estate. Second, the Fed has done too good a job looking for markets for long bonds, forcing interest rates down. I wrote about that bond yields on the longer end is a function of demand for bonds:

http://www.talkmarkets.com/content/bonds/keeping-interest-rates-low-is-a-function-of-demand-not-of-politics?post=105956&uid=4798

This was confirmed by the premier bond guru of Blackrock, essentially making two different predictions in the same article at Business Insider:

http://www.talkmarkets.com/content/bonds-education/blackrock-cap-on-yields-because-of-monumental-bond-demand?post=111451&uid=4798

Bonds are the new gold in derivatives markets, used as collateral. Trillions of dollars are committed to the new clearinghouses. So, this slows the economy because the Fed's hands are tied and cannot raise rates which would help the economy by stimulating lending and would show that inflation could run a little hot yet could be stopped anytime. That is no longer the case.

Ironmen, they poll based upon the percentage of voters from each party likely to vote. It is all out in the open.

Best example: The same "reasonable democrats" who criticized Dubya's foreign policy, defend Hillary's bad choices and not only ignore her Sabre-Rattling, they alternatively dismiss it or encourage it.

@Gary doesn't appreciate Victoria Nuland will get promoted to Assnt Sec. of State or other high level office.

These people may be 40% today, but add 4yrs or rising heathcare and housing costs, plus a new recession, and they may well be a majority.

If this comes to pass, they can elect their Molotov cocktail in four years. There won't be any huge threat to democracy. That's how it's supposed to work.

76591   HydroCabron   2016 Nov 6, 7:29am

To be fair, I have noticed that when one candidate in an election gets the most votes, they always install that person in power like it's a goddamn dictatorship, rubbing it in the faces of the other candidates and ignoring the objections of their supporters, thereby disenfranchising them. #rigged

You act like zero women vote for trump.

He consistently polls at 36-41% of the female vote. As for the minority vote he consistently does better than Romney with Hispanics and nearly double Romney among Blacks.

I am a "minority" -whatever that means. It is so sad, Martin Luther King made the I have a dream speech -about looking past people's color -and the dems still pigeonhole us by color .

76595   Tenpoundbass   2016 Nov 6, 9:15am

I think Early voting is an evil invention for the establishment to know how many votes to prepare for Election Day Tuesday.

The provisional votes are the deck of Go Fish cards for them to pull the votes needed. And with Obama imploring even illegal Aliens to get out and become provisional votes because the establishment knows they need them. Then many states now has made it illegal for anyone in line to question those illegal Aliens voting.

America's only hope right now, is for many of the Democrat votes already made are for Trump and the 13% so far undecided and the majority of the Indy voters vote for Trump and overwhelm the Rigged deck.
Because I think the NSA and CIA have the killswitch on the Vote Flipswitch the DNC plans on using, and the establishment knows it. That is why at the eleventh hour they are championing voter fraud on a grand scale as long as it's Democrat votes.

Yesterday some pollster for Trumps campaign was reported in the news that he has been dogged by voter fraud charges. He isn't accused of any voter fraud right now they just wanted to put it out there in the MSM because they weren't reporting the real corruption.

The very fact that Weiner had ANY State Department emails on his machine opens Hillary to charges. Not to mention that Hillary instructed her maid to print classified emails on her behalf. What national security clearance does Hillary's Filipina maid have?

The Democrats just spent the last 9 days telling everyone how Russian Mind Rays or Deploreable Racist Sentiment are controlling the FBI, after praising them to the Echo all Summer and Fall. What will the Democrats say tomorrow? That Putin turned off the Mind Control Satellite hovering in geosynchronous orbit over DC?

Remember, when it goes after the Poster Child of the Corrupt Establishment, no whopper is too great to tell. Because the Very Serious People say so, it's true!
