Bonds are the new gold in derivatives markets, used as collateral. Trillions of dollars are committed to the new clearinghouses. So, this slows the economy because the Fed's hands are tied and cannot raise rates which would help the economy by stimulating lending and would show that inflation could run a little hot yet could be stopped anytime. That is no longer the case.

The moderate Democrats said Comey was an honorable man who made a mistake going public. The more partisan ones thought it was egregious and unacceptable. The relevant federal statute regarding accessing, forwarding, taking custody of and disseminating classified documents requires NO INTENT TO DO SO (even though a competent prosecutor could easily prove Hillary had such intent).

As a very famous and effective defense lawyer once said, the threshold for indictment is so low that federal prosecutors "could indict a ham sandwich" if they chose to do so (though Hillary really did break serious federal law).

This is clearly a case of Hillary being treated as if she's above the law.
