The problem with robots is their perception. Repetitive tasks done at one location, flipping burgers, is easy. Getting more patties from the shelf in the freezer and bringing it back, opening it, etc. is difficult.

Youtube is replete with major corporations, MIT, etc. with multi-million budgets building robots that bungle what seem to be stupid, unskilled tasks like patrolling a mall at night, and instead driving into the water fountain.
